Charizard flew through the sky, still maintaining its quick speeds. While the dragon pokemon flew, the trainer on its back had some thoughts on his mind. Most specifically, his mother. The image of her being angry at him for disappearing made Ash nervous. Pikachu noticed his partner deep in thought.

"Don't stress Ash. Delia will be delighted for your return." Pikachu spoke, trying to comfort his long time partner.

"I know, but she will freak out when she sees the scar on my eyes." He replied.

"I still can't believe how you got that scar," Pikachu said, attempting to change the subject.

"Me neither. I know I'm going to have to explain how I got the scar. Maybe she'll feel a bit better about it." As the duo continued to talk, they notice Pallet Town in the distance. "There it is. Home sweet home."

"I missed this place."

"You and me both. What I missed the most was Mom's cooking and sleeping in my bed. I can't stand that damn mountain. I'm surprised I don't have back problems from sleeping on that hard surface for six years."

"That we can agree on." Charizard descended slowly as Pallet Town grew closer and closer.

Meanwhile

Delia was peacefully humming a tune while cooking some dinner for later. Her humming was interrupted by the front door getting slammed open. She stopped to find the source of the sound, only to encounter a man, standing there with a devious grin.

"Well, well, well. Look at what we have here." His sadistic grin was enough to frighten Delia.

"Get away from me!" Delia demanded, reaching for an unused frying pan as a weapon.

"I'm afraid that won't be happening." The intruder said, walking to Delia.

"I'm not afraid to use this!" Delia threatened while holding up the frying pan. The intruder couldn't help but let out a small chuckle.

"Like that's going to stop me." Delia swung the pan to prove her point. However, the man caught the frying pan before she could land a successful hit. "Funny. I was considering letting you live. Now that you have tried to hurt me with this thing, I'm going to kill you after I've had my fun!"

"Help!" Delia pleaded, hoping someone would hear. Luckily for her, someone was already nearby.

"No one is coming to help you." Before the intruder could do anything, he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around to see who it was but instead met a punch to the face. After the punch to the face, he was grabbed by his throat.

"Who...are...you?" He asked, struggling to breathe.

"That is unimportant. However, if I see you near this woman, I will gladly feed you to my Charizard." Ash threatened. His eyes showed clearly that he wasn't joking.

"You're...bluffing." Ash scoffed and brought him outside.

"You hungry Charizard?" The dragon pokemon saw the current situation and decided to play along. "How convenient, considering I have some food for you right here." Ash held the intruder close to Charizard's mouth.

"O-Okay! I-I'll leave her alone! Just don't feed me to him." The man feared for his life. Ash scoffed and threw him towards the ground. The intruder then ran away from the Ketchum House. Ash turned around to look at his mom for the first time in six years.

"W-Why save me? Please don't hurt me." Delia cowered in fear.

"Why wouldn't I save my mother?" Delia gasped and pulled her son into a bone-crushing hug.
