You were tired. Exhausted. Aching for a more comfortable position but the restraints around your wrists and ankles prevented it. You hung your head low and kept your eyes closed as you panted softly, body on the verge of a complete shutdown. The room was cold and your body shivered, stomach growling almost painfully as it screamed for any sort of nutrition inside of it. It had been hours. Hours and hours. But it felt more like days. The room was quiet and empty aside from you, but the distant echo of footsteps caught your attention and startled your eyes open. As they grew closer, you clenched your fingers and curled your toes within your boots, heart thumping a little bit faster within your chest. You could feel the presence of another body near yours, stood beside the chair as a hand reached out and curled beneath the hook of your chin.
You winced as they forced you to look up, recognizing it as the same man from much earlier. Dolohov. Despite how lanky and bony his fingers were, his grip was harsh and rough. Sure to leave bruises behind on your skin. His nails were incredibly long and sharp, dirt buried beneath the cuticles and you physically cringed back as he scratched them along your cheek.
"You, what you have, it's such a pretty price..."
His voice was low and his tone sent an uncomfortable shiver to run up your spine. You refused to look at him, too lip curling up into a disgusted scowl. You just wanted to be back at Hogwarts, warm and safe within the stone corridors.
"I wonder," Dolohov continued. "I wonder what it would take to bring out that little power of yours again. Hm?"
He let go of your chin with a shove and your head knocked against the hard wooden surface of the chair. You squeezed your eyes shut and took in a deep breath, finally braving a glance in his direction.
"Screw you."
Dolohov's chapped lips curled up into a wicked grin, a laugh bellowing out from the depths of his throat. "So she speaks!"
His arms crossed over his chest as he turned and stood in front of you, his fingers reaching inside of his cloak and whipping his wand out. He angled the sharp tip down in your direction, circling the skin of your face as he leaned in dangerously close.
"Just because you have something we want, doesn't mean you aren't still expendable. Watch your tongue."
Breathing in sharply through your nostrils, you tilted your head forward and forcefully spit onto his face. Dolohov stumbled back and angrily wiped your saliva off of his skin, eyes wide and burning with anger you hadn't seen since your own father.
His hand gripped your throat and squeezed it hard, cutting off the oxygen flow to your lungs and you gasped as you struggled to breathe. He spat furiously with each venomous word he spoke, the chair rattling and creaking against the floor.
"How DARE you! You worthless little witch!"
With the force of his grip, the chair fell backwards with you still strapped in and you grunted in pain as both you and the chair came in contact with the marble ground. An electric shock ran up your spine and out through the your limbs, tingling and buzzing. You were hurting and you were exhausted. You weren't too sure how much longer you'd be able to handle this.
His wand was pointed at you once more and within seconds, the entirety of your body felt as if it had been engulfed in red-hot burning flames.
"Crucio!" You immediately let out a scream as you pulled and pulled relentlessly against your restraints, desperate to find any sort of relief from the pain coursing through your veins.
Your body writhed and contorted, your broken cried echoing loudly throughout the large room. Beads of sweat formed over your skin and started to soak the strands of your hair, heart pounding so hard you feared it just might burst from your chest. Soon enough, everything came to a stop and you relaxed, panting over and over as air just didn't seem to stay within your lungs.
