I'll Play Your Game [Cancelled]

[PROLOGUEv2]A New Story Unfolds

Let's start things off simple, shall we? A single teen is seen walking through a forest.This is Y/n L/n.The reason for his woodland walk is that Y/n learned of an old shrine was here and being a member the Secret Sealing Club he just had to check it out.That and his love for anything involving the past.

Y/n-"Ah, finally!I thought I made a wrong turn."He states happily as he notices a set of stone stairs that lead up a mountain.

Not wasting any time he makes his way up the stairs quickly and effortlessly.At the top of the stairs he stops at the Torii gate to marvel at the sight of the shrine.He then bows and walks through the edge of the gate as he then makes his way to the donations box.He pulls around his backpack and unzips it to reveal an entire sake set.

Y/n-"Hello Kami~"He shouts in a sing song voice."I am Y/n L/n and I have come to offer you the best sake I could borrow."He speaks happily as he sets the set upon the shrine steps and makes his way to the donation box."I know i'm intruding on your land so I thought it best to offer you my best." He speaks as he pulls a wallet from the backpack."Don't worry it's mine."

He gently set a few yen in the offerings box and bows twice before clapping twice and following it up with some light prayer.He then bounces out of the prayer and walks over to the shrine.Looking around he notice an entrance to the shrine. Against better judgement he picked up the sake and walked inside the old rotting shrine with sake in hand. Luckily because of its small size the entrance held everything for proper worship.

Y/n-"Hey there Kami~"He sung with a tilted head."Found your entrance and decided to bring the booze inside ha ha."He then sat in the middle of the room and poured out two bowls worth of sake."Raises arm A toast to you, oh forgotten god."He states as he closes his eyes and slowly sips away at his sake."You know Kami, my friends where suppose to come along but had to cancel."He takes another sip."You would've liked them I bet." Taking one last sip he stands up and turns towards the door."Well i've taken up enough of your time.I'll see myself out.Hope you like the sake."

Y/n-"Exits shrine Huh, I must've been in there longer than I thought."He says as he looks up to the dark sky."I... can't see the stars..."He rubs at his eyes and starts making his way to the torii gate."It's a good thing I read up on wilderness survival.Without it i'd probably stops abruptly."

He froze.Y/n saw something that left him speechless.His eyes slowly analyze the sight before him.At the end of the shrines steps began a large village that looked straight out of a history book.He would've thought he traveled back in time if it wasn't for the men and women walking around with horns on their heads and the large orbs floating around with skulls plastered onto them.He would've stood there or even check it out for himself but an odd feeling made him look back to the shrine.Turning back he was once again shocked.The old decrepit shrine that was mere moments away from knocking down know looks good as new.He quickly returned to the shrine and found the entrance where he promptly entered. The sake was gone and there were a katana embedded into the floor.The katana caught his eye as a piece of paper was stuck into the blade.Pulling out the katana he grabbed the paper and read what was on the paper.

Dear Y/n L/n

Hi!It's Kami, specifically the one you shared your sake with.I regret to inform you that you're no longer in Japan.Before you ask anything i'm gonna just set it out.One, I do not care how you got the sake.Two, it actually felt nice to drink sake with you.Three, You were brought here on pure accident.And finally I don't have the ability to bring you back to the outside world.So let me explain some things to you.You are currently in my residence in former hell.The japanese mythology you love so much is all real but somewhat different. Though to keep you alive i've supplied you with my greatest work, a katana that transforms to the users desires, and have the power to grant you one wish.In my power of course.

With that said, goodluck out there and if you meet a woman named Yukari I apologize.

Picking up the sword and thinking about it the sword transformed almost immediately and in Y/n's hand was a mask in the form of half a fox face, then a wristband, and finally back to a katana but not sheathed.

Y/n-"This is a lot to take in."He thought aloud as his smile reformed. "But I am up to the challenge!Kami, if you're listenin I know my wish!I want my mimicry power to extend to any creature.If you'd be so kind to do so.After all humans are nothing compared to some of those things i've read up on."Suddenly a wave of energy flows through Y/n forcing him to fall to the floor.

He clutched his heart as he felt a searing pain overwhelm him.He nearly passed out after ten minutes of the pain but it luckily subsided before then.Slowly he moved into a sitting position as he came to grips with himself and found another note ahead of himself.

Sorry for all the pain but when it comes to changes on an atomic scale things are gonna hurt.Good news though, everything and I mean everything can be mimicked to perfection provided you do the things necessary to do so.In order to access appearance you need to have seen every part of the body. Powers and abilities must be seen and/or felt, please note you must learn how to use them effectively on your own and all drawbacks are also copied.lastly memories and personality can be mimicked as long as your personal knowledge of that person is high enough.Also a small side effect of the atomic reconfiguration is that your current body is now average. Meaning all that hard work and effort you did need to be doubled if not tripled if you want to get to your new peak performance.

Y/n-"Oh damn."He thought aloud as he fell over.'I think i'll just take a nap now.'He thought as the mental exhaustion finally took hold and he passed out.

So begins the story of Y/n L/n the greatest, and only, mimic of all Gensokyo!Though he's not quite in Gensokyo yet...
He's got quite the challenge ahead of him.But for now the teen rests inside the shrine of a forgotten god.

[FINISH!So?What do you think of this new start?I've decided to throw Y/n somewhere a little different as you can tell.Thought it would be fun.With that said I got nothing to add on so i'll leave you with the same ole song n dance.Thank you for reading.I hope you liked it.As always Tips, Ideas, and Criticisms are welcomed and encouraged!]
