Rei slammed open the office doors to Nezu's study. Eyes glaring into the beady black irises that stared back blankly. Nezu smiled kindly, "And to what do I owe this visit, Rei?" Nezu questions, sipping his heart-warming tea. The pristine white cup clattered onto his desk before rolling off and shattered from Rei's abrupt grasp on his white collar.

"What the hell are you planning Rat?!" Rei shouts, growling as her grip tightened. Nezu wordlessly smiled wider, his paws grabbing ahold of Rei's pale hands. Her vicious eyes narrowed, the glare growing colder and sharper. Suddenly, something cold pressed against her forehead.

Rei huffed gently, lips kissing her teeth as Nezu aimed the handgun on her cold skin.

"I suggest you let me go. You and I both know that I would not hesitate to put a bullet in that head of yours, but...we both know that I'm too smart to do something that." Nezu states calmly. Rei rolled her eyes and set the animal down onto the desk. Her arms falling to her sides.

"I want to know why..." the horned girl mutters, the mouse-like bear looked up at her curiously, plopping down onto his raised office chair.

"Why what?" Nezu questioned smugly. His endearing beady eyes made goosebumps crawl on Rei's skin. She hated Nezu.

"Why are you making me Participate in those silly games of yours? What are you planning?" Rei piles her questions onto the principal, not caring if she got all the answers she wanted. In this office, she knew when she took it too far. And she would know even if she didn't realize because Nezu would make her understand her faults and drill them into her cherry-horned head until she bled.

Her pale hands clenched into fists, resting behind her back as her nails dug into her calloused palms.

Nezu's smile faded into a meek grin, tilting his head slightly, "You mean the Sport's Festival?" he questions again, Rei nodded, eyes focused completely onto the white mouse. She wasn't in the mood to play around. Not after the dream she had the night before after the meeting.

"I'm not playing chess, Rei, I'm not toying with you...after all," he paused, "You're not a Human." Nezu's statement made Rei pause, her eyes darting down to the floor.

"You may bleed the same blood as them, but you'll never be one of them." Nezu sighed. He hopped out of his chair and bent down to pick up the shards of porcelain from the staining designer rug in his office.

"What is Human to you people?" Rei whispers under her breath. Eyes burning into the ground.

Rei turned around swiftly, leaving the room as she slammed the door behind her.

In a mere second, everything was dull again.

"Darling..." Rei whispers, "I need my Darling," and so, she searched.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Todoroki sat in class, sitting in his seat respectively staying to himself as his classmates chatted among themselves. The door slid open, soft gasps and grunts from his class made the half and half teen look up from his book. Rei stood in front of desk. Eyes covered by her bangs as she smiled at him.

The smile wasn't kind, warm, or lustful like the others.

This was sad, angry, and cold.

The unwelcoming feeling in Todoroki's dream came back, forming in the pit of his stomach as he stared up at the girl.

"Darling," Rei spoke, voice unwavering and monotone. Her eyes were dull like in his nightmare. He hummed lightly, not wanting to talk to the girl.

"Hold me." It was more of a demand than a question. Gasps echoed in the large classroom. Shudders raked through Todoroki's body at the icy tone. He hid his surprise and glared at the girl.

"I can't be bothered to talk to you. I have to focus--" the teenager was interrupted by Rei grabbing ahold of his hand and easily lifting him up from his seat, eyes softer and sadder than before. The cyan-mint green hues bore into his duel-colored ones, searching for something. Todoroki swallowed, eyes flickering on the different features on the girl's face.

Rei dragged the boy out of the classroom, ignoring the cluster of students that formed outside the large 1-A doors. She continued to drag him, uncaring of the comments that they were being giving and judgmental glares.

Todoroki frowned deeply and ripped his wrist out of Rei's strong hold with difficulty, he looked around them, they were in an vacant classroom. The pink-haired girl pushed the boy up against the wall, his side hitting the cubicles. He winced and looked down at the girl in front of him. Her cherry-red horns threatened to poke his eyes as she leaned up.

The two teenagers basked in complete and utter silence.

This silence was not awkward nor was it calm and accepting. It was suffocating and deafening.

Rei noticed the teen's hesitance to her horns, sighing deeply as her arms caged him.

"I've always been alone," Rei starts, her voice was assertive and calm. Her lips twitched up into a false grin as she grimaced, "it must of been because of these horns. And in the then, I'm seen as a Monster." She looked up at him again, her slim arms trapping him in a one-sided-hug.

"Do you think I'm a monster too?" her question made Todoroki freeze in his spot, eyes widening in confusion and dumbfounded disbelief.

Rei sighed, frowning, she scraped the tips of her horns against Todoroki's forehead much like she did in the USJ.

"It's okay, Darling, you don't need to answer..." she whispers, her right left hand trailed up the teenager's aching side then to his chest, drawing invisible patterns on the white fabric of his button-up shirt before caressing the stinging burn on his face.

"I already know what you want to say..." she smiled again, this one was full of different emotions, unlike the uncaring grin moments before in Todoroki's nightmare.

The only one who is scared is Rei, not Todoroki.

But there was no time to dwell on the present, for they were both stuck in the past.
