Zach povAspen left and I stood by my door fame. The lights went out and back on. It was raining on and off all tonight. I ran out of my room, screams from most of the school being here, I push them out of my way grabbing a umbrella opening the door.
I saw Aspen standing in the rain. I walk over trying to open the dang thing. I sigh standing beside her.
"Come inside?"
"I-I'm waiting for my mom!" she said shaking.
I threw the umbrella taking my jacket off wrapping it around Aspen, putting the hood up.
"At least come under the porch where it's dry."
Aspen shook her head no looking up.
"I love the rain. It's like you can't tell if I'm crying or if it's the rain dropping." she bite her lip.
"I'll be right here then, like I told you inside I'll be here for you."
Aspen smile lightly having her tongue out as rain drops continue to fall.
"Zach?"
"Yeah?"
"M-my mom isn't coming.. I lied, I'm a bad person for doing so-"
"Believe me your not bad. Could go back inside? I don't want you to get sick."
Aspen look over at me nodding. I smile walking back inside to everyone being gone.
"Great, my parents are going to kill me." I joked. "Um not to sound like I want you in anyway. Holy shit that sounds worst. What I'm trying to say is do you want to wear some clothes that aren't dripping?"
"May I. I don't want to be a bother."
"You never could." I replied.
I went to my room, Slicking my wet hair back, grabbing a couple shirts and sweatpants. I walk back down to Aspen standing there still with the wet jacket on.
"I can take the jacket."
"Oh, thank you." she said handing it to me.
I handed her clothes showing her to the bathroom. I took off my shoes groaning then my socks. Minutes went by and I was cleaning the living room when Aspen came downstairs looking pretty like she always does. She wearing my favorite t-shirt and gray sweatpants.
"Thank you for the dry clothes. I'll wait until the rain calm down then walk home." she says taking a trash bag.
"Anytime. I'll drive you home or- You don't have to clean. Let me, it's my dumb fault for letting the guys invite the school. I don't know how I missed the school leave my house."
"The rain makes you loss what your doing. It's a beautiful distraction. Sorry I don't talk much."
"I don't mind at all. I'm kinda the quiet one/semi mature... that might be pushing it."
"Dang it." Aspen said.
I look up at Aspen and her hand was bleeding. "Dumb ass people. Here follow me."
We went to the bathroom. I looked for the first aid kit taking it from the bottom of the sink, I open it finding bandages and gauze. I clean up her hand as she sat on the bathroom counter. I wrap her hand softly.
"Ow. I'm sorry."
"Don't be Aspen. I'm not a doctor but I think I did okay." I replied looking at her.
"I'll give it a 5 out of 10."
"Hey, better than zero."
She giggle kicking her feet lightly. I help her down standing close. We look at each other.
(a/n: yes a cliffhanger. sorry not sorry. anyway i hope you like it queens.)
