A Millionaire's First Love (One-Shot)

Vince is fifteen years old now, living with his father alone, in a mansion full of stuff that other kids dreaming of. His family is well known by their wealth and businesses. He grows with the care of his nannies and all he wants and wishes was given to him by his father. Kids like his age will be very glad if they had the stuff that he had but he is not contented by these. He feels incomplete. He feels that he wants and needs something that he doesn't know if existing. In their school, he is very quiet and alone in one corner of their classroom. Even though he has the wealth and popularity, he has no friends. Almost of his classmates and schoolmates admired him because of his intelligence, wealth and being the most handsome in their school but there is nobody brave enough to talk to him because they are afraid that he might be mad at them.

Until one day, there is a transferee girl in their section that talk to him and asked his name. "Hi, I'm Ellaine Sanchez, just call me Ella. What's yours?", the girl asked. But Vince just gave her a sharp sight and ignored. Ella got angry and said, "Huh? What's the matter with you? I just want to know your name. If you don't want me to know your name, then fine I will not bother you. It's not a big deal, anyway." Then she turns around to go to her seat but suddenly Vince answered but doesn't move from his original position, "I'm Vince, Vincent De Leon. It's not that I don't want to meet you, it's just that I'm not used to talk to anybody." Ella was shock and confuse about the way Vince answered her. It's like that he is very sad and alone.

After class Ella decided to talk to him. "Vince, can I talk to you?", Ella asked. Vince stopped walking to hear what Ella want to say. "Umm... I just want to say sorry for what I've said awhile ago. It's just that I can't control my anger. I'm really sorry for what I've done.", Ella continued. Vince faced her and answered, "Never mind that. I'm sorry too for ignoring you at first when you talk to me." When Vince was about to turn back on her, Ella suddenly asked, "Vincent De Leon, will you be my friend?" Vince got shocked about what he just heard. He turns around to face her again and approached, "Are you serious? You want me to be your friend?" Then Ella answered, "Yeah! Of course I'm serious. Is there any problem?" Vince is still shocked about what he is hearing right now. "Umm... Nothing.", Vince said. "So, will you?" asked Ella again. "If you want to.", Vince answered then turn around and go away.

In the next day, Francis one of Ella's classmate asked her if she and Vince are friends. Ella answered, "Yes... Why?" Then Francis said, "You know, everyone in this school admired him but no one has ever tried to be friend with him neither talk to him because they are afraid that he will just ignored them or he will be mad at them. You are the first one who ever talk to him and even the first one who became his friend." Ella was shocked about what she just discovered. She felt pity on him. She feels sad about what Light is experiencing right now, for having no friend for a long time and for having no one to talk to. Then Ella thought of a plan, to help Vince to cope up his loneliness and to make him happy.

"Vince! Vince! Wait for me!" Ella yelled while running toward him. "Did you already ate your lunch? If not, can we eat together?", asked Ella happily. "Not yet.", the only answer Vince uttered. "Then let's go.", said Ella and then grab Vince's hand and walk toward their school cafeteria. Vince go with her with an shocked face.

"Vince, will you promise that I will be your friend forever?", Ella said with her mouth's full. "I don't know." Vince answered. "Promise me. Huh?", Ella begged. "Ok then, I promised. If that's the only thing to stop you from talking.", Vince finally said. "You don't know how happy I am for hearing that. I also promise you that I will be your friend forever and ever and ever!", said Ella with a joyful face.

Time passes by, Ella and Vince became best of friends. They are always together, talking, teasing, comforting and leaning on each other, laughing and happily together. Vince started to change, he has a lot of friends now, he can talk and chat to others, share his thoughts and ideas and say what he wants to say, he cooperates in all activities and he can now smile and laugh. He realized that it's very happy to have friends and he realized that he can be happy for just simple things and it's all because of Ella.
