PARALLELS :: Hana wanted to talk to Haneul, her offstage persona personally through the songs in her mini album. Therefore when it came to naming the album Hana came up with the name Parallels as figuratively, parallel means similar, or happening at the same time. This album is about her two personas Hana and Haneul, they are both her, but they are different sides of her.

THE SONG :: The lyrics touches people's hearts and the general message that the song is explains exactly the feeling that we have as a teenager and going through some things that make us more depressed and less confident in ourselves. For Hana the song addresses the emotions that she felt when she first debuted with BTS. Hana shares how she had a hard time adjusting to the group not because of her members, but because of the fans not being accepting of her. She revealed that she wrote this song back then to vent out her feelings.
