Stand up against the pain

how do you mend a broken heart?

find love from another man?

lick it like a wounded animal?

or be miserable and have the world to blame?

how do you mend a broken pride?

put on a mask and never cry.

create a show where you're strong and proud

and that no one could affect you that bad.

how do you heal a worn out soul?

how could you tell if something is wrong?

how would you perfect your tough facade?

when inside you. you're hurting so bad.

i am not the one to tell you to move on.

i can't help you to be truly strong.

but my friend, all i could offer is my shoulder

ready to be the wall you could lean on.

i've been there and it was hell.

i couldn't even tell what's not broken.

i cried pails of tears, oh yes,

but now i laugh like it was just a bad dream.
