Ch. 69

Cali's POV

When Tameika called me crying saying Key got shot. It's like it was deja vu all over again. I found myself crying and speeding to the hospital. Yeah, me and Key weren't on good terms, but he's still the father of my child.

I pulled up to the hospital. I parked, and got out walking out. I walked in the hospital. I didn't see anybody I knew in the waiting room, so I called Tameika back.

" What room y'all in?" I asked pushing the elevator.

" Caliana, I thought he was hurt bad, but he was only shot in the leg. I'm so sorry for sending you into a panic.

" It's fine. As long as he good. I'll be ok." I said letting out sigh of relief.

" We on the 4th floor room 110. " She said.

I got in the elevator pressing the 4th floor. As the elevator went up I started breathing in and out to calm myself down. Once it stopped on the 4th floor I walked to room 110. The door was already open, so I just walked in.

" Hey y'all." I said.

" CALI?" Fat said.

Everybody looked at me with a shocked look on their face. Then, Key turned around with a smile on his face looking at me until he looked down. I was in so much of a panic that I forgot to change my outfit. The tight fitting jogging sweatsuit showed off my round baby bump.

" You pregnant?" Fat asked.

" Nah, she just like you fat for no reason. Duh, nigga she pregnant!" Woo said looking Fat upside his head.

" Pjay, you knew she was pregnant and didn't say nun?" Dolph said causing everybody to look at him.

" Ian know shit." Pjays said with his hands up.

" Nigga, you spent a night over there last night. How the hell you don't know." Woo said.

" It's not his fault I didn't tell him." I said taking up for Pjay.

" Well congrats, fav what you having?" Fat asked smiling.

" Thanks Fat. Ummm, this morning I found out I'm having a boy." I smiled.

" Whatchu you doing here?" Key asked as I could clearly see he was upset now.

" Meika called me. I came to see, if you was ok." I said as I nervously played with my car keys.

" Why you call ha? Everybody that needs to be here was already here." Key said to Meika.

" Ion know who you think you talking to, but you better check ya self Markeyvius. Now, one of y'all get up so Cali can sit down."

Fat, Pjay, Woo, and Dolph all stood up at the same time.

" No, I'm good. I don't think I'm staying that long. I honestly just wanted to check on him."

" Yeah, I'm sure she gotta get back to her boyfriend. Or should I say her baby daddy." Key said.

" Key, it's not even like dat. Just let me ex—" Before I could finish all of a sudden Bre walked in.

" I got here as soon as I could." She said as she walked over to Key.

" Oh, hey I didn't even see you there. Oh my God! You finally got pregnant congratulations." She said pettily as she chuckled.

" Quit tryna be funny. I don't hit women, but I'll slap any hoe bout my sister." Pjay said taking up for me.

" Pjay, don't worry bout it's straight." I said.
