A/N- The song comes later in the chapter, but you should know when it happens
The following morning was warm, and bright. It was the kind of summer day that wasn't too hot, but still gave you the essence of late August. It was simply perfect. Arabella began to wake, when the sun shone through the window in Bill and Charlie's room. The curtains blocked some of the light, but a few rays managed to get through. They danced across her face changing shapes with the breeze. She could feel the warmth tickle her skin. It reminded her of a feeling that she couldn't quite place her finger on, but she was too sleepy to care.
Her eyes fluttered open and adjusted to the light. Arabella noticed she was alone. She assumed that Hermione and Ginny were already up and about, and by the ruckus coming from downstairs she assumed Fred and George were also awake. Arabella turned to look at the clock sitting on the nightstand. The time read 10:28. Knowing the Weasley's, that meant Molly was almost done with breakfast; During the summer she always started breakfast later to let Ron sleep in. Arthur was chatting with everyone, and Hermione was probably trying to help Mrs.Weasley with whatever she needed. Fred and George would be causing trouble, adn Ginny would usually be watching from afar, to make sure she didn't get pulled into one of their schemes, or worse, become the target. Harry and Ron would always sleep as late as they could.
As Arabella slowly became more lucid, she knew there was something she was forgetting. She brushed it off and pushed the quilt that Mrs. Weasley had made for Bill when he was younger off her body. She sat up placing her feet on the hardwood floor. There she sat on the side of the bed trying to enjoy the moment. The sun danced across the room, creating shadow puppets with the curtains. The breeze coming in from the window that had been opened ever so slightly. Her heart warmed at the sound of Hermione's contagious laugh traveling up the Burrow.
She finally decided to get up. Before going to join in on the fun, she made her way up the stairs towards the bathroom. She passed the twins room and again that smell of fireworks smoke wafted over to her, making a smile grow on her face. Arabella didn't understand why, but that smell had an effect on her no drug could ever replicate. She continued up the stairs, eventually making it to the bathroom. Arabella shut the door behind her and turned to look at herself in the mirror. Her hair was a complete mess, it looked as though she rubbed a balloon on her head while she slept. She combed through her hair with her fingers trying to fix it, only to get a slightly improved look.
Arabella's sweater had fallen off her shoulder again. She began to fix it when her eyes darted to her exposed skin. Fred. She noticed a few hickeys starting at her collarbone trailing along her shoulder, which caused her to remember what it was she had forgotten. Her mind flooded with thoughts, worries, and questions about what happened the night before.
How could she have possibly forgotten such a memorable night?
What was she gonna do about the hickeys?
What's Fred thinking?
What did it mean to him?
What did it mean to her?
She quickly calmed herself and did a spell to cover the love bites left by Fred. Arabella exited the bathroom and made her way down to the kitchen. She was greeted by Mrs.Weasley and Hermione's warm smiles, and the sight of an amazing breakfast almost ready to be enjoyed. Mr.Weasley sat on the couch reading the paper. She went towards the kitchen, hoping to help Mrs.Weasley with whatever was left to do, when Fred, George and Ginny strolled through the front door. She turned at the sound of their laughter echoing through the room. Arabella and Fred's eyes met with a feeling of uncertainty.
"Hermione dear, could you go wake up Harry and Ron?" Mrs.Weasley kindly requested, breaking Fred and Arabella's focus on eachother.
"Of course." Hermione responded with a smile, and left to get the boys.
