A QUIRK WITH TOO MUCH INFORMATION

My world changed when I turned 4 years old, "Unfortunately, Y/n does not posses a quirk." The doctor said, as I sat on a chair, I watched as my world crumbled, the look of disappointment in my mom's face was completely directed at me, "As you can see in this X-Ray, Y/n does posses a second joint in her pinky toe." The man explained, "It usually means that the person does not posses a quirk, as the ones possessing a quirk only have 1 joint."

The ride home was... suffocating. I felt my whole world crumbling to pieces, my mom was trying to calm herself by lifting a pen that she has in a small compartment in the middle of the car, with her psychokinetic quirk, lifting it into the air, and then dropping it.

I didn't understand though, weren't quirks something inherited? My dad's quirk is soul project, he can somewhat project his own soul, and make it visible, and both my parents were 5th generation quirk users, how did I turn out without a quirk?

From that day on, my parents turned from warm and caring, to cold, they did never abuse me, and I was given the same food as them, they just stopped playing and talking with me about small matters.

6 months later, when I finally found what my quirk was however, I never told them, I choose to hide it, The doctor said 'usually' after all... I don't quite understand it, I can make some kind of strange ball, red and white, with a strange white circle in the center of it, that if clicked, the ball turns bigger.

And 2 months after that, It was announced that I would be a big sister.

Kindergarten at the time was... tough. At that age kids don't really have a limit in what they can do, or express, nor guilt. I must admit, my behavior was not the best in those occasions, I would pull hair of the girls, and if a boy punched me, I would do the same without remorse.

And even though I registered as Quirkless, and was known as one, the other kids didn't attack me further, after that.

When It was my eight birthday, I finally noticed something different, strange transparent figures, other people didn't seem to notice those figures, there were many, and of many different forms too.

As the days passed, those forms became clearer to me, I could see faint colors, hear small cries of animals and other similar abnormal things about these creatures.

When I turned 9, I was completely accepting of the fact that I could see them, some were still shadowy and more transparent than others, I could see mostly the small looking ones, or 'simple' would be the best term to call them. I could see them clearly now, hear them too, and a thing I was not aware when I was younger, they could see me too.

It was a strange sensation, to say the least, I had nobody to talk about this, nobody except my little sister, my parents didn't complain that our relationship was comfortable, they actually liked that, and gave them more time to rest while I played with her. She is the best little sister I could ask for, and her cuteness levels was incredible high.

My sister was 4 years old at the time, when she came to me, and made a question that made my whole body shiver, "Nee-Chan, what is this 'Pocket Monster'?", I learned from some months prior that she finally got her quirk, it was something like, seeing a soul of a person, by what she told, it was a color radiating out of a person, indicating their emotion, a name, and what she identified as a quirk.

It was then that I learned that my quirk was 'Pocket Monster', from that day on, I made sure that my cute little sister wouldn't tell anyone about it, and would explain what it was as I figured it out.

I was 10 when I was at a park with my sister, and figured something new about my quirk, I always avoided the creatures I knew nothing about, Lilly was playing in the swings, and I was pushing her higher, as she asked me to do, as we were returning home, she gives me her hand, to go home, "Nee-Chan, what is that?" She asks, pointing at a small creature that I'm used to see around the city. I look at her in question, but she continues to follow it, carefully guiding her finger as the creature moves around.
