Caroline couldn't believe what she was hearing from you right now. It was extremely rare for a student to get off with barely any punishments after pulling something like that last night but you got off with absolutely nothing. "There's no way!" She exclaimed loudly, earning a few looks from students passing by. You laughed at her reaction and nodded at her in agreeance. "I know, I know. It's still weird to me as well." Guilt kept pulling at the back of your mind for not mentioning what Draco did last night after being let go by Dumbledore. You keep telling yourself that it's simply not a big deal and to let it go and that's what you're going to do; you've set your mind on it. You were even so caught up in the thought that you didn't realize you had about a minute to show up to your next class - potions with Professor Snape.

"Have fun." Zach said to you as you waved Caroline off. You turned to him with a confused smile and nudged his shoulder as a sign to tell you what he meant. "They split the class half and half for potions as well as the other half for defense against the dark arts. I turned out to be in the half that you're not in." He said with an amused smirk. He knew this meant you were stuck in the same class with Draco if Draco wasn't in Zach's class and Zach wouldn't be there to cheer you up or keep you busy from killing Malfoy. You shook your head at him in disbelief, hoping he would say he was kidding but he just nodded to confirm your demise. "Bloody hell." You whispered as you two walked side by side.

As you reached your class, Zach ruffled your hair and gave you a simple "Good luck." Before walking away to the potions classroom. You were annoyed at the fact they split the classes. What was the reason for it anyway? Were the classrooms too full or something? You basically dragged yourself into the room and sat at your usual seat - alone this time now that Zach wasn't with you. You looked up to scan the room and mentally mark down who was in the room, taking note that at least Luna was there. You enjoyed her company at the very least. The blonde idiot was there, there was no missing him when his tall self with his bright platinum hair stood out from everyone else. All of Draco's friend group was here as well besides Crabbe and Goyle.

Parkinson was there as well and she was burning holes into your skull from behind you. She wanted to get you back for what you did to Draco last night and she didn't plan on letting it go soon. You sat there with your head in your hand, already dreading the lesson. Nothing was fun if it wasn't with your friends. You felt like everyone was mentally laughing at you since you were the only one sitting alone while everyone else had someone sitting beside them.

"Blaise. Sit with Lilith..." Snape said out of nowhere making you look up at him confused, same with Blaise. He continued to read names in pairs - "Pansy and Neville, Draco and Luna, Brandee and Seamus..." He went on until every student was paired with someone. Everyone made their way to their partners, switching seats with each other before gently tossing their textbooks on the desk in front of them.

Blaise didn't take long to sit beside you. You mentally sighed and turned the other way to keep from engaging in a conversation with him. "These will be your seat partners for the next few lessons. Get comfortable." Snape made sure to look directly at you as he said the last two words. The next few lessons? That meant you wouldn't have this class with Zach for a while. You swallowed a small lump in your throat and moved your hair out of your face as you looked down at your worn out textbook where the spine was slowly beginning to fall apart.

"You could at least acknowledge me, you know?" Blaise spoke with a light laugh after noticing your attitude to lighten the mood. Was he actually attempting to be nice right now? That was new. You looked at him in the eyes for a couple of seconds with a straight face before going back to face the front of the class. "No 'hi' or anything?" He laughed. You turned back to him unamused and shrugged your shoulders. "You've been acknowledged, Zabini. Isn't that all you wanted?" You asked.
