The next morning , Nandini woke up with manik by her side . manik was sleeping like a baby. tears in his eyes are dried up and while sleeping also he looked tired. The day has worn him off it seemed. Nandini decided that she need to do something . She cant see manik like this. She has to do all she could.

with that Nandini left. After completing her daily courses she decided to cancel all meetings of manik and let him have some rest.

The phone rang in the hall.

Nandini picked up the call

"Nandini Malhotra here"

she addressed herself as a official because the landline only get business call. No personal calls.

"Nandini?"

"who is it?" asked Nandini. the voice was familiar but she couldn't figure out how she knows the person

"don't you remember me? I guided you so many years in my college"

yes!!!! Nandini could suddenly realize who it was. it was her principal from her college.

"good morning sir! of course I remember you! its just you called all of a sudden so...."

"I already talked to Mr. Malhotra about being the guest of honor for our yearly fest...and you too are invited being a ex-student of our college"

" sir actually....."

Nandini was about to say no to him when a idea struck her mind. maybe going out and attending the function would let manik come out of the depression.

" Nandini??? you there?"

"yes sir....sir don't worry...we both will be coming...."

"great!! see you day after tomorrow afternoon"

"sure!"

After disconnecting the call. Nandini walked into the room to see manik still sleeping.

she smiled looking at manik and sat beside him on the bed.

"manik! wake up....its already morning"

manik moved a bit but wasn't in a mood to wake up. what he did was, he dragged Nandini towards him, hands locking on her waist and doodled to sleep .

Nandini tried to get out of manik's grasp but it seemed difficult. finally after sometime Nandini stopped struggling. all she as doing was looking at manik's innocent face, filled with emotions.

she thought how can he be the same man whom she hated some months ago? does her feelings means she is betraying yash? she didn't have an answer. All she knew that she cant control her feelings now. she will do anything for manik . Anything to keep him safe. If this is Love then yes she is in love with Manik.

after realizing her true feelings Nandini smiled and covered her face with her hands.

then she immediately kissed manik on his forehead. Manik opened his eyes to see Nandini beside her , and in his arms. he got up immediately ,uncomfortable from his own actions. he didn't realize Nandini kissing him . but he felt a tingling sensation on his forehead. But at that moment he choosed to ignore the sensation because he probably has angered Nandini by touching her constantly.

" I....I....I am so sorry Nandini....actually I didn't know what I was doing...please don't be angry"

Nandini got up and took manik's hands.

"its okayyy!! I am not angry"

With that smile of her Nandini looked angelic , thought manik. she maynot be the most prettiest woman in the world but she was the whole world manik. its been so much time manik has been in love with her. But he is scared that the ultimate step may take their relationship back to how it began. And manik didn't want to spoil even the slightest possibility of Nandini falling in love with him. so he decided that he would give Nandini the chance to the ultimate step when she thinks she is prepared to go there.

Manik smiled looking at Nandini.

"actually manik...I wanted to say ki.ajj principal sir kaa phone aya tha"

manik dropped his smile, He wasn't in the mood to attend any function now.

" and I agreed ."

Nandini thought manik would question her decision or worst..get seriously angry with her.

manik looked at Nandini . he was staring into her eyes. Then he ultimately smiled. Liked he understood what was there in Nandini's heart.

"okay...if you want...we will go for sure"

"lets sort our meetings today"

Manik wanted to sound as much normal as he could. But deep down he was still hurt , angry and sad. Of course... he was betrayed by someone whom he trusted and loved the most.

" about that...."

"I cancelled them for today"

"WHAT!! WHY!!"

manik was searching an escape in his works. And now he is free and has literally nothing to make him busy.

" manik you can try to fool me by acting normal...but I known how you feel...your heart needs time to repair itself....and most of all...you need rest"

"but Nandini I am perfectly fine...we could just go to work..."

"well....lie to yourself...don't try it with me...."

" now go and take a bath...I have a lot planned for today"

saying this Nandini left manik alone in the bedroom.

Nandini served manik breakfast . she made his favorite kheer poori for breakfast.

manik got excited seeing the platter of heaven before him.

"wow Nandini....this is so good...perks of getting a all rounder wife"

Nandini smiled

"go on....eat till you gain 2-3 kgs"

both laughed...

"by the way...where are we going today?"

"umm that's a surprise.... the place is really close to my heart...apko wahan bahut accha lagega"

"okay then? who is driving?"

"well...of course me....."

Nandini grabbed the car keys.

"lets go Mr.hubby"

they locked hands before they left.
