So- Patton is sacrificed to the feared water god by his village, who desperately need the rain. Patt remembers a terrible storm in open sea and a few seconds of being picked out of the water by a very handsome man when he wakes up somewhere he's never seen before. He looks around, clutching his head, and he sees a small boy sitting next to his bed, and he falls in love because it's a small friggin child and he looks adorable and innocent, and Patton happily tells the boy so. He answers in a neutral and calm voice with very mature vocabulary that he's Logan, the water God, and by surviving the storm and being passed out in the ocean for multiple days Patton has qualified himself to be Logan's husband, so his survival basically means they're married now. Patt is gobsmacked that the small boy is the water god, and not some monster the humans portray him as. Then Logan explains Patt is free to stand and go wherever in the palace and god dimension, and if someone asks him what he's doing there he's to say he's Logan's husband. He'll have his own bodyguard if he wants to, and he does have his own room with garden and bathroom, plus a few servants. He can have anything he wants, unless it's going back to the human world. Patt's 5'3 ass(he gotta be a bit taller here QwQ) accepts that  confused and follows the tiny not even 4 feet tall boy to his richly decorated quarters, filled with anything he could somehow need, plus all the clothes he could ever wish for, made of the most expensive fabrics (Cambodian lotus silk and chinese silk, etc.) and accessories. (This is two days after Patt was sacrificed)
Patt loves his stay there, and he's also happy he can look at and spend time with handsome gods all day long because his husband is working all day long. There's one god who stands apart from the crowd though. Patt has only seen him a few times at night, but he seems a pretty big deal and is  h o t , but Patt can't deny he doesn't like the small sympathetic gifts like flowers and cute and expensive jewels from Logan but enough about le boy. One day, when Patt finally has the balls to go meet le night god, and hottie introduces himself as "Mui". Patt's new demigod friends all notice his giant crush on someone, and when they ask who Patton likes he dreamily talks about Mui, the devilishly handsome but pretty cold guy who stole his heart  never noticing the looks the others give him when he mentions the name Mui. (This all has happened over the course of about three months after Patt was sacrificed)
A few weeks later Paton overhears two demigod friends speak about someone who is obviously Mui, but they use the name Logan. When Patt walks up to them they smoothly pretend they have been talking about bento the entire time. Patt leaves soon enough, and a while later he overheard two other demigods talking about Logan's unfortunate curse he didn't even deserve, and one of them (his half-sister) lovingly calls him Mui. Patt's sure Mui has something to do with Logan, so the next day when they're having a late breakfast Patt confronts him, and the little boy just breaks under all of the  stress of satisfying his new husbands needs, trying to find a cure for the curse mentioned earlier and all of his duties as the ruler of the water kingdom, and he explains how he is Mui, that Mui is a childhood nickname and he used it because he didn't want to tell Patton about his curse yet.
