Hospital room

Keith's P.O.V

Lance is home late its unusual usually he's on time ten minutes late at most but this time its four hours I have a bad feeling and I cant shake it off. Me and Lance have been married eight years of course we fought but we always stayed together no matter how hard it got. What if he left me for some pretty girl! no, no he'd never do that Lance was the best. I had called Lance so many times each time felt longer and longer before he responds, Then I got a call from a unknown number hoping it had something to do with Lance I instantly picked up. " Hello is this Mr Keith McClain?" A males voice said "Yes that's me" I replied "Your husband Lance McClain is in the hospital could you come down" I gasped a little and nods "alright ill be right down" In a moment I was in the car and speeding, I didn't care about tickets or fines I just wanted to get to Lance as soon as possible. I knew I needed to calm down but I couldn't how unspecific the guy was just scared me. Eventually I got to t he hospital seeing Lances family and our friends already there and outside the room. No one would let them or me in. Shiro was trying to calm me down but it wasn't working very well.

Hours and hours of waiting and pacing , crying and panicking a tall doctor came out she had regret on her face and didn't seem happy it made me burst out crying I couldn't help it. Lances mom was crying a lot as well. "You can go in to say your goodbyes four at a time" the doctor said walking off. Everyone agreed that lances family should go first each walking in. Lances parents were crying everyone was crying it was sad. Finally it was my turn it was me Shiro and his parents they stayed in there the entire time. I walked in and sat next to Lances bed. He was covered in bandages and had a life monitor it made me cry. Lance was barely awake he put a hand up wiping my tears "hey mullet" his voice was weak and small , I laughed through the tears "hey lover boy" I said quietly and kissed his cheek. His heart monitor got slower "mullet when I'm gone can you do all the stuff we didn't get to do. Everything that was on the bucket list we didn't cross" I nod "of course Lance but your not going anywhere" I held his hand our fingers entwined.

Lance kissed my hand "mh I am Keith but its going to be alright" I sighed and smiles at him "I love you Lance" he looked at me his eyes slowly closing "I love you too Keith" his eyes shut and his grip on my hand weakened and the monitor went flat in that moment all I could do was cry and hold onto him begging him to wake up.

My Lance was gone.

Years later and I had two kids now Isabelle and Noah were happy and I always tell them about Lance I wish they got to meet him they both remind me of him sometimes I don't know why. We do so much were always on a adventure. Isabelle is so smart she's top of her class and she's around eighteen now she has a girlfriend she was so nervous when she told me but I love her and her girlfriend is so sweet, Noah has a wife and I have a grandchild he's called Lance.

On Christmas were always together and every other holiday and I always feel like lance is there with us.
