Gianna still can't believe she got fired. She was already late for her job at the coffee shop so just she could hear her inconsiderate boss say that she was fired. Gianna's head was filled with curse words as she drives down the traffic.
"Are you kidding me?!" Gianna glared at the motorcycle which cut through her line. Oh, how she wanted to crash that motorcycle. She looks at her phone and saw the time, 17:00. Great, she thought. She was two hours late for her shift at the coffee shop.
She hurriedly made her way to the coffee shop, wearing her apron as she enters. It was just her luck that her boss was present.
"Look, I get it you need a job. But I also need employees who can show up on time." She actually grew tired of her boss' endless scolding. It was not her first time being late, and she almost memorized the line.
"So, you're fired." That was a line she never heard before, well at least from this boss of hers.
"Wait, what?" It was just her lucky day today, two jobs have gone at one day.
"I'm sorry, but like what I said, I need people who can show up on time." She wanted to cry, to beg, to scream, but she was too weak to do all those things.
"I promise this will never happen again, just one last chance." She got no shame on her anymore. She needs this job so badly.
"Here's your month's pay. I'm sorry, Gianna." She grabbed the envelope and sadly walk away from the office and hurriedly out of the coffee shop.
She felt defeated. All energy drained out of her body. She suddenly heard footsteps behind her and someone calling her. She stopped and turned around, surprised to see a woman about his age. She tried to recognize if she was someone with whom she had a debt.
"I'm Danielle Stevens. Can I talk to you for a second?" There are many things running on her mind. She was still speechless from the events before, so she stayed quiet.
"I heard from the coffee shop that you got fired and would like to know if you're interested in a job?" Just hearing the word job brings lots of emotions, mostly happy emotions.
Whatever it is, she's willing to take. Anything that could help her pay her bills, and her family's debt, she's on it.
"What job?" She asked.
"So, you want to hire me to make this guy's life miserable?" Gianna asked, still shocked at how crazy the idea is. But, no matter how crazy and twisted it is, she's going to take the job.
"I know that it's a very twisted idea, but that's all I can think of for all the pain that he had cause me," Danielle explained, she just wants Joaquin back and if this plan of hers works, she might be able to have Joaquin back in her arms again.
Gianna closed her eyes and took a deep breath, still contemplating this very odd job that's offered to her.
"Fine, I'll do it." Upon hearing those words, Danielle smiled.
