let's get our gambling freak on! (short story)

Chapter 1

           "Y/n, Y/n, Y/n oh my god! Are you ok or something?" I see two fingers snapping in my face. The hands belonged to my closest friend, Mina. I shook my head and whispered " Yeah I'm fine! Just nervous.." I speed-walked towards the curb, Mina closely following. "Come on Y/n! You're going to a great school, I heard all of the people there are rich as hell!" she screamed from behind. I sighed and screamed back " Mina please! I'm still nervous because I'm not that smart!" I ran until I saw a long line of students wearing the same uniform as me.  I jumped over to the nearest person and quickly introduced myself, "Hi I'm a new student, Y/n-" I stopped talking as soon as I saw two girls walking together. One of them was blonde while the other had black hair. I looked at them and waved shyly. The blonde girl gave me a glare and I flinched. "Who are those girls?" I asked a random student. "That's Mary and Yumeko. They've made a name for themselves by gambling" they said, breathy. "Gambling? This is a school though?" I blurted out. The girl shushed me and pushed me behind her. I furrowed my eyebrows and walked towards the gate and introduced myself to Yumeko and Mary. They didn't bother to look at me and walked away. I followed them until I was stopped by a tall 3rd year student. "Fresh meat right?" he said with a growl. I nodded my head and tried to walk away but he pulled me aside. "Whatever you do, don't gamble with Yumeko or Mary, got that?" he was so weird. I rolled my eyes and ran away so he couldn't grab me again. He ended up following me and introducing himself to me, his name was Benjiro. I thought it was a cute name to be honest. I smiled at him and went to class. It was fairly easy and school ended quicker than I expected. Benjiro met me outside of my classroom and took my hand. We were so close to the exit before someone tapped me on the shoulder. I spun around and saw Mary tapping her foot. "Since you're new I decided to gamble with you, do you accept?"  I looked over to Benjiro who was sweating. I shrugged my shoulders and groaned, "Ok fine I'll do it." I took a step towards Mary and looked back and Benjiro. He had his mouth open wide and his books were on the ground. I chuckled to myself and winked. Once we got to an empty classroom, Mary told me we were going to play the game rock paper scissors. Literally so easy, it's just rock paper scissors  I thought to myself. She started to explain the rules while putting cards into a machine. I opened my mouth in shock. This game is just based off of luck. We played for a good 15 minutes before I won the game. She shrugged it off and laughed before exiting. She whispered in my ear "You're going to die at this school mittens."
