Chapter 3

"My first day in college sucked...Do you know what a boy named Zac said to me?!" I text Abigail when I get home and sit on my bed. It takes 30 minutes before she answers.

"WHAAAAAT, no what did he say??" She replies, if she would have been here now instead of Washington she would have hugged me and tell me all her advices for boys since she has had quite a few.

"If you hadn't been so clumsy we could have won" I send Abigail what Zac said to me, our teacher had said that we would make a contest and see which table that would make the best elixir. According to Zac it was all my fault when it in reality was his fault because he mixed two ingredients. None of them were planned to be in the elixir! Ugh, I hope he's nicer tomorrow.

"He said that?! God bless you. What did you do?" She sends back.

"Nothing that's the point, I need to study now. I love you, I'll call you tomorrow" I text Abigail and with that I put my phone aside and start to study.

I had been studying for several hours when I hear the door open and in comes Sarah with hundreds of books in her arms, I immediately stand and walk over to her to help her with her books. She looks exhausted and tired. "Rough day?" I ask while I lay her books on her bed, "You kidding me? Yeah you could say that" she says and sits on the bed and lets out a big sigh. "Do you want to talk about it?" I ask her, I've always been understanding and I've always had an open mind to listen to other peoples problems. "You're really nice, you know that don't you? And yes I would like to talk about it" she answers me and lays a hand out next to her, "sit" she commands and I do as she says, I sit down and take her hand in mine. "It's about my friend Ashley, we had an argument about her "boyfriend" Zac..I'm sure you've met him, he's in your science class. He's a total jerk!" She says with a serious look on her face. "Yeah tell me about it" I say and sigh, "Oh no, what did he say to you?" She says clearly not surprised but worried if he hurt my feelings somehow. I don't have any feelings for him since I just met him, he's handsome though, "Nothing really, he blamed me for doing something that was in reality his fault" she has puppy eyes now, I think we will get on really well. "I'm sorry to hear that, he's being a jerk most of the time but sometimes he's nice, well nice to be him" She says and looks on the floor, "Let's talk about you instead, what was it you and Ashley were fighting of?" I ask really curious. "Well, you never know if Zac and Ashley are a couple or not, they're on and off all the time. Ashley has become more like a bitch now, more than she was before and I think Zac is just trouble for her" she pause for a moment "Zac doesn't care about girls, he does whatever he wants to do with them and that goes on my nerves since Ashley is my friend. I told her what I just told you and she freaked out on me" she starts to cry now, I really feel sorry for her. She just wants her friend to be happy, oh god. I open my arms and hug her, she lets me hug her and starts to cry even more on my shoulder.

After an emotional hug that lasts for 10 minutes we break apart, "thank you for being so understanding Emma" she says to me with a grateful smile. "Oh no, I'll do anything for my friends" I say. She hugs me one more time before she stands up, "I need to go to the bathroom now, to wash away all makeup! Don't wait up for me, I can be pretty slow" I hadn't noticed that it was already 10:30 pm, I need to go to bed if I'm gonna stand science class tomorrow.
