3rd POV
Young Walter slowly pulled the small bulb from his experiment that was set up on the coffee table. His baby sister, Bella was watching him in amazement with a huge smile on her face. She swung her legs back and forth while sitting on the green chair, watching her big brother.
Out of nowhere, they herd their mother call to them, "Walter, Bella, have you seen my tweezers?" Walter jumped, flinching at the sudden vocie. The bulb he was using ended up flying around the room, and hitting the bottom of Wendy's coffee mug, spilling all the coffee on the floor. Wendy looked at her kids with a sight annoyed expression on her face. She sighed, looking at her oldest.
Walter froze, and his sister's smile grew on her face. The alarm clock went off with a loud beeping sound. Walter turned it off, turned to his Mom, and slid the goggles off of his eyes.
"Uh, sorry. Did you need that mug?" Walter questioned.
Wendy sighed, and then smiled warmly. "I needed that coffee," She replied, before throwing the mug away, and walking into the living room. "So, whatcha making, bud?" She asked, sitting beside Bella on the chair's arm.
"A gadget for you to wear on patrol." Bella replied.
"Oh." Wendy nodded, interested in what her son was making this time.
"Yep. It's the perfect tool to keep you safe. This button makes a really loud sound to incapacitate your enemy," Walter explained, and pressed the button, and made a siren sound, which made Bella cover her small ears. "Like that. This button can wrap you in an inflatable hug, so no one can hurt you," Walter explained, while hugging himself. "And this one is for when your out numbered. You just hold out you hand, and say; "Stop! And Boom! And Glitter cloud!" And then the bad guys will leave you alone." He explained.
"Oh! Because glitter makes people happy?" Bella guessed with smile, revealing her single missing tooth.
"Beacause the refracted light causes the enterochromaffin cells to release serotonin," Walter said. Wendy looked at him with a confused expression, because she didn't understand a word he just said. Bella kind of understood what he was saying, but not by a lot. "Yeah, glitter makes people happy. Let's try it out. Remember how you told me not to take apart your cell phone?" He asked, pointing to the broken phone on the table.
"Walter Beckett, you took apart my-" Wendy was cut off by glitter blowing into her face. It got all over her face, hair, and police uniform. Bella got glitter on her clothes, and in her dark brown hair.
"Still wanna kill me?" Walter questioned, with a innocent smile.
"No. Just the opposite." Wendy answered, brushing the glitter out of her hair, and police uniform.
"Then it works! I also want add kitten visuals to trigger the orbital frontal cortex." Walter explained.
Walter was about to continue, when the voice from the walkie-talkie resting on Wendy's shoulder interrupted. "11-A-25, Code six, 104 North." The operator said.
"Hon, I gotta go. Time for my shift," Wendy said, as she kissed Bella, and Walter on their foreheads. "Be good for Gram, okay?"
Wendy opened the front door, only to be followed by her two kids.
"We'll come with you! We can finish this on the way. You won't even know we're there." Walter reassured.
Much like Walter, Bella knows so much about science, and would be considered just as smart, but she is more into robotics and technology than science, even if she's really good at it. Bella had the dream to become a baker since she was 3 years old.
