I really think that snape never got over Lily. Like come on! I DO NOT ship Snape and Lily. James changed himself for Lily and what did snape do? Join a terrorist organisation which kills people like Lily, never get over a childhood fight. Constantly bully children. James at least bullied people of his own age(not saying that what James did was right)! Snape bullied small students, violated his power as a teacher. Deliberately set them *specific* work to do, so that they would recognize Lupin. He wanted to ruin Moony's life just because he was the friend of James. He bullied Neville, for what?! For not dying!
He was heartless and obsessed over lily too much. He did not go to the good side because he thought what he was doing was wrong but because he wanted revenge...
People think he was sweet or that his story was tragic but come on! The sweetest man ever who stepped over his childhood crush's dead husband, ignored her crying baby(who was just orphaned!) to creepily cradle her dead body in his arms... So sweet...
Honestly, Snape disgusts me and I can go on a never ending rant as to why I hate him.
I think he was VERY PETTY. If you are going to say he had a traumatised childhood, i will not buy that crap, 'cause Neville, Harry, Lupin, Sirius all had traumatised childhoods. They all turned out fine...
Also Mutual love always wins over Obsessive love.
