Can we all talk about Hagrid who is the only half-giant at Hogwarts? His birth was revealed without his consent in a supposed *news article* causing people to think of him as incompetent and violent.
He was blamed for a crime he did not commit. Why? Because he looked vulgar and stupid compared to the model pupil of hogwarts- Tom Riddle. This caused him to miss on the rest of his magical education and was banned from using magic, which is considered a huge punishment at Hogwarts. He had the biggest outsider status- being a half-giant and banned from using magic.
Despite all this, he never became bitter. He could've hated aragog for getting him expelled but he loved him even more. He could've become bitter towards hogwarts children for being able to use magic but he didn't...
He is a genuinely better person than a kid who was bullied a few times and became obsessive over a girl he didn't get.
Hagrid loved monsters not because he was naiive or stupid, but because he knew what it felt like to be considered a monster and not be loved by anybody.
He is a way better character than a certain creepy asshole and I really think it would've been better to name Albus as ______(insert any name that is not stupid and old-fashioned) Rubeus Potter.
Can you imagine how happy hagrid would've been!
