part 1 - monochrome sky

it was a cold sunny autumn day. Y/N and her class were getting ready to go on a field trip. Y/N, having no friends, sat alone in the bus - imagining her imaginary boyfriend sitting next to her. as soon as she was about to fall asleep - the bus arrived. everyone found a place to settle at and everyone was happily chatting around or doing other activities, but Y/N had other plans.

the h/l (hair length) haired girl went into the forest. suddenly, she felt as though she'd gotten lost. the sky turned grey and fog had risen. after what seemed like hours of walking around the girl was tired. a cold breeze brushed past her, one after another. the wind was blowing and in the distance a howl was heard. with each step the girl felt like she was getting closer to the grounds where her classmates were, but she, in fact, was only walking deeper and deeper into the yet unknown to humans paths of the forest.

the night was approaching, sun was setting and her classmates and teachers have long forgotten about her. who wouldn't? she never interacted with anyone. that isnt what mattered to the girl. she tried everything. her phone had no signal. the only thing left was her, forest bugs, the trees and plants, and her backpack full of snacks and other stuff that she brought with her. suddenly she felt a chill run through her whole body.

she turned around and, like some sort of ghost, saw a tall dark figure standing above her. she stood up and saw that it was a boy around her age standing 2 heads taller than her. he had long dark grey hair, a soft yet rough looking face, blue somewhat mixed with grey colored eyes and dark circles around them. at first the girl thought that she was hallucinating. i mean there's no way her imaginary boyfriend would be standing in front of her! but he was. with a deep somewhat raspy voice he said "hey". the girl's heart was already beating fast from merely seeing him but it started beating even faster after she heard his deep attractive voice. he reached out to touch her, as to confirm if she's real. with a cold hand he touched her flushed cheek. in response she jumped back but almost tripped.

dark haired boy grabbed her by the waist and pulled her closer so she doesn't fall. Y/N's heart started beating even faster now. she's gotten completely nervous and a sort of anxiety was enveloping her. not only is she interacting with a stranger now, but it's a boy AND A GOOD-LOOKING ONE AT THAT!

"i'm henderson" said the boy nervously. the girl froze. it was the exact name that she made up for her imaginary boyfriend. well she didn't exactly make it up... he was in her dream but as a ghost.

the only thing the girl could mutter out was "are you real..?" he replied "am i?" and chuckled. the boy then bit his lip and came closer to the girl and whispered "maybe i'm just a part of your imagination..." ending it with a smirk on his face. Y/N's face became completely red.

henderson, saw how nervous the girl is, decided to ask her "anyway, how come you're here in these woods alone? are you lost?"
Y/N, still trembling from being touched by another human that's not a family member after so long, replied "sort of... i was.. on a field trip with my classmates when suddenly i got lost in this forest. nobody came looking for me so it's whatever..." her eyes saddened but she was kind of used to it.
"what... - what about you...?"
henderson froze at the question, "me?" he stuttered. "i also got lost... i was with... my family."

"oh... what should we do now?" Y/N said.
"i don't know... do you wanna go back?" replied henderson.
"not really"
"me neither." the tall boy smiled awkwardly.

"should we go explore the forest a bit then?"
after hearing that the girl's eyes lightened up and she replied with a "sure."
and so they decided to explore the unknowns of the forest together.
