part 3 - a shooting star

Y/N POV

it feels like we've been walking for hours. i'm tired.
"hey... i'm getting tired can we maybe rest somewhere?"
henderson stopped walking and looked at me and said:
"but we have to find a place to stay..." and with a short pause he then said:
"i guess it can't be helped. hop on my back"

at first i was hesitant but i was far too tired to walk so i did it... he was holding me by my legs but slightly touching my thighs... my heart was beating so fast and my cheeks were clearly red. i wonder if henderson has held another girl like this before... probably... i'm getting sleepy... what if i fell asleep? i'll just close my eyes for 2 minutes...

"ah!" i woke up suddenly only to find myself surrounded by wooden walls, a single window and a lit lantern at the side of my bed... i was covered with henderson's jacket. where is he anyway? was it all just a dream?
i looked around and got frightened because i saw someone staring at me and kneeling beside the bed. i felt relieved when i realized that it was just henderson.
"um sorry for falling asleep..."
henderson smiled and replied "it's fine. oh by the way while walking i found this cabin. hope you don't mind."
henderson blushed which made me blush as well because i knew exactly what he was thinking. i was about to spend the night alone with a boy.

"how old are you by the way?" i think it's about time i ask him that.

he replied "nineteen i guess" with that charming deep voice of his. ugh i love him... wait i love him?

"what about you?"
"seventeen"
after that there was silence for a few seconds and his face reddened even more. probably because in some states it would be illegal for us to do stuff together, not here though.

i was getting thirsty and henderson offered to walk back to the river with me. he took out his pocket knife and kept making cuts into nearby trees so we don't get lost. until well... he accidentally dropped it and lost it.

timeskip

it's the morning. last night henderson said that he's gonna sleep on the couch in the other room of the cabin and he did. i slept like a rock. i was sleeping on the bed where i previously woke up. although i remember hearing a sound in the middle of the night but i was half asleep.

henderson entered the room a few minutes after i woke up. my sleeping face is gross so i cant imagine what my morning face looks like. i bet hes disgusted... huh wait? is he smiling at me? am i dreaming?

"good morning..." his voice sounded even deeper than usual. i felt my heart skip a beat. aHhHhh!!!!
"yes- um g-good morning.." i stuttered. i hate myself.
"i um... made us some breakfast..."
wow. he can cook? "i'll be there in a minute" i said and he left the room. i rolled around in bed thinking about everything that's happened to me so far.

first i got lost. it was the worst day ever (possibly)
then i met this 10/10 boy who was my dream boyfriend. heck maybe even better...
and now we're sharing a cabin!!!

another timeskip because it's boring to describe every single thing that's happening

before i knew it we were back in the forest taking a walk and talking about our lives so far. i really felt happy. i haven't been happy in so long...
but that doesn't matter right now. something big was about to happen.
