Survivors of the Horde

Prologue

A biological weapon escaped a Chinese lab. This biological weapon would target the victims brain and activate a hidden gene within the body. Casing the victim to go insane and crave human flesh. Anyone bit would soon become infected as well. In less than 2 months most governments had almost completely collapsed. More than 85% of humanity had fallen victim to the Bio-weapon.

China planned on using this Bio-Weapon to take over america. Though due to poor seals on the testing chamber, a small spore managed to infect one of the doctors, causing him to kill his Wife and kids. Soon people fled the country trying to get away from the infection. This only hurt things as within a half a week, every single major country in the world had cases in the ten millions with a 100% mortality rate.

The first places to be hit were big cities. People didn't have anywhere to run. In less than a day 98% of New York City had fallen ill to the disease. Shortly after the smaller towns were bombarded by Hundreds of thousands of zombies coming from the cities.

In less than a week every single town in America had been hit by zombies. With the chain of command in America broken. No one was left to lead the country. Citizens were left to fend for themselves. Most died trying, that didn't stop groups of citizens banding together to fight for their survival though.

In these groups death was always right around the corner. It only takes one bite for you to become infected. These zombies can inject enough spores into your blood to completely take control of your brain in half a day.

Victims become erratic, cannibalistic, and strangely strong. They do not care who they kill, whether it be friends, family, pets. Suggesting that the infected do not retain memory. The longer the victim is infected the more dangerous they can become.
