About two weeks have passed since the apocalypse. We finished looting the grocery store we had about six weeks of food and four weeks of water. The first attempt at growing food had proved unsuccessful.
On day thirteen Faith suggested we try going to a farm.
On day fifteen Ace successfully hot wires a truck, after filling it up with gas we drive to the farm about ten miles north of town.
We decide to enter the house and we quickly realise that something feels off. The air feels thick, it's oddly warm in the house despite the fact that no one was home. The floors seem to warp up and down, the walls seem to bulge towards us. Everything seems just a little bit too quiet. The house creaks at every little movement we make.
I send William and Faith to search upstairs while Ace and I continue to search downstairs and the basement.
as we enter the basement things only got worse. It became unbelievably cold, the air felt intoxicating. The smell hits me like a wall of bricks. The air smells like a mixture of rancid meat and rotten eggs. The smell is strong enough that I taste it and my eyes begin to water up. I throw up. Ace seemed unaffected, I have no idea how though.
That's when I saw it, three zombies chained up to the wall, all... cut in half. "Ugh, what the fuck?!!" I yell. I shine my flashlight on them. Ace looked at them with only a slight hint of disgust on her face. She's so tough I don't get how she does it. "We're being watched" she says calmly as she points out a battery powered camera in the corner, "C'mon let's go we need to get out of here"
She hits the camera with the back of her hatchet, causing it to break and fall onto the floor. She pulls a SD card out of the camera and puts it into her pocket. She's such a badass.
After telling the others what we found in the basement, we decide that exploring the barn alone would be a bad idea.
Ace, being the badass of the group, enters the barn first. There we find a laptop on a desk. Ace slides the SD card into the laptop. The SD card has about four hours of video on it, as well as multiple files containing days of video.
After about 5 minutes of snooping around the laptop, William decides to go look around, shortly later we hear a creaking noise. A stack of crates crashes down onto the laptop destroying it, other crate stacks also drop, one almost hitting us, causing a loud booming noise. "Holy shit" William yells, "There's a trip wire up here!" Ace yells out to him, "Are you okay?" He replies, "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine."
"Someone is clearly trying to kill us" Ace says, "I think we should find this bastard, he tried to kill us, let's give him a taste of his own medicine" she says with a smirk on her face.
Shes so tough, thinking about her makes so warm and fuzzy inside. I get all nervous when she's around as if a million butterflies all simultaneously start flapping their wings inside my stomach. My heart races whenever she talks to me. Her gentle touch in contrast to her tough personality makes me feel unbelievably overjoyed.
I want her to be mine.
