Nineteen

Percy POV

I went in with Annabeth for work, I know I don't technically have to, but I like that I'm near her, I can protect her, and if something with the baby happens, then I can be in the same car to the hospital.

"Hey Percy... Annabeth."

"Hey Heidi, whats up?"

"Perce I need to ask you something."

"Sure. Whats up?" She glanced between Annabeth and me.

"I was hoping you would come into my office for a minute?"

"Oh sure, let me just get Annabeth situated, and I'll be right there. Come honey." I took her hand and made sure that she was comfortable as one can be when you're six months pregnant, and that she had water.

"Percy, she's asking you out."

"Huh?"

"The day you— you met Silena, I had gotten a call from her asking me for your number."

"I haven't gotten a call from her."

"Oh that's because I kinda... lied and said I didn't have it..." She looked away, innocently. I smirked and crossed my arms.

"Is that so? And whys that Annabeth?"

"You're already dating me, I think you know."

"I'll be back!"

"Why are you still going?"

"I told her I would."

"I need you."

"I'll be five minutes."

"If she doesn't return you I'll put out an amber alert." I kiss her and head off to Heidi's office.

I knock on the open door, which alerted her to my presence.

"Good, Percy please come in, close the door." I did as she said, and she lead me to a chair. She ran her fingers through my hair. "So... how does you, me, wine bar, this Saturday sound?"

"Oh... I don't know why you would know this but Annabeth is actually my girlfriend..."

"What?" She snarled.

"Annabeth... Annabeth Chase, the pregnant one, she's pregnant with my kid..."

"She's so fired."

"W-What?"

"It's a conflict of interest to fuck your assistant."

"But you can date me?"

"I'm not your boss. She is."

"Then I'll quit, so good day." I walked back to Annabeth's office who smiled up at me.

"Hey Seaweed—" I kissed her. I held her face, and I swear I felt the baby kick... I hope the kid likes me... and doesn't kick me when they're not inside the most beautiful woman in the world.

"I quit."

"What?"

"I said I quit. I'll still do everything you need, I just don't want money for doing so."

"What happened?"

"She asked me out and when I told her I was seeing you she threatened your job, so Miss Chase, I quit."

"Oh gods Percy this isn't good. No not at all. Go apologize to her please holy shit I'm so fired oh gods oh oh  g—"

"Annabeth?" She groaned and I caught her just as she started to fall. "Annabeth its okay. I told you, I quit, you
shouldn't be in any liability issues."

"No Percy, you told her about us?"

"Well yeah..."

"She's going to make my life hell."

"Then... you quit too!"

"Oh gods Percy, I can't, I need this job."

"Why? You can rely on me."

"Can I? How do I know you're not going to leave me when I can't lose the baby weight or- or when I can't... you know... because it'll be all fucked up... or—"

"Whoa, Annabeth, Annabeth, look at me please... I love you. You can blow up, become obese, you can shrink down so teeny tiny small I'd have to put you in my pocket, I don't care how you look, I love you." She smiled sheepishly at me.

"Well then I guess now would be a bad time to tell you that if you lose that six pack of your that I'll send you packing?"

"Har har, lets sit you down." She groaned as she hit the chair a bit hard. "Will you be okay as I run and tell Mr. Samsford that I quit?"

"Wait, come here." She pulled me by my shirt and kissed me. When she pulled back she bit her lip and the air that was between us was comforting, it was Annabeth air.

"Hey Wise Girl, your night in shining armor is back."

"Oh, hey! How'd it go? Was he mad?"

"No but I told him you were pregnant actually and he was fine with it. He's letting me come in and help you when I want."

"You told him too!?"

"Did you not hear the part where he was totally cool about it?"

"Percy, you've told two coworkers and we haven't told your family? Let alone my dad?"

"We can stop by Mom's after work." She took a deep breath but she still looked so tense. I walk over behind her and massage her shoulders. "Its going to be great, okay? Just try and relax, can you do that for me? Please?"

"I hate being pregnant." I kiss her cheek.

"I know but when this part's over, we get to have a little baby with teeny tiny little toes and fingers, and that new baby smell and tiny clothing to love, and we even get to name it and take it home with us." She looked at me gratefully, and pulled my neck down to kiss her. "You're going to be a kick ass mom, look at how you kick butt at normal life and when we add a little baby to that equation, you'll be even cooler."

"How can you be so confident in that?"

"Because I know as long as I'm with you, it'll be okay."

"I love you."

"I love you."

A/N: So... I'm recently figuring out that a thousand words isn't as impressive as I think it is for a Wattpad chapter so I'm sorry, but as my writing improves so should the lengths of my chapters. Also sorry if this chapter was confusing and/or stupid, I'm trying to add in some fluff, but next chapter will be the gender reveal! yay! Get excited my three readers baby time is soon! Then itll be the end of the book but whatever.
