The Big 3

Chapter 1: The Mission

As I walked into the building with my friends I could barely contain my excitement for this mission. Our job was to distract, and by god if we weren't the best for the job. I can feel the weight of the metal in my hands and my giggling couldn't be stopped. I looked over at my friend Vanessa and noticed her already at work setting up our small base in an empty room. Alyssa is already working on her voice, quickly downing her tea before me and her go and fuck shit up. I fix my guns to their holsters and polish off the grenades off so that the lime green really shines.

When you have a very none offensive quirk like mine you need to fill that gap with other stuff. My persuasion only works so well with it being a defense quirk, unlike Alyssa's songbird quirk which is both defensive and offensive. Alyssa also carries around a pole for the added offense. Even so, we wouldn't be able to complete our missions if we didn't have Vanessa, she has eyes everywhere with that computer of hers, and with her quirk of being able to create anything she draws, it allows us to get what we need to do done and quickly get out.

Alyssa and I get our gear and set out once we got the go-ahead from Vanessa. We got this job from Eraserhead to flush out a nest of villains that were using an old office building as a hideout. Now we aren't exactly heroes, but we ain't villains either, we just like to do stuff on our own terms.

"Serpent, do you come in? You got three on the upcoming right." The earpiece said next to me. I look at Alyssa and hold three fingers up and shoot her a smile. She looks back at me and nods her head an excited glint in her eyes. I tap the earpiece wrapped around my ear.

"Loud and clear canvas, me and songbird will take it from here. See you soon bro." I pull out one of my grenades and pull the pin, I wait three seconds then throw it around the corner, green-colored gas starts peeking from around the turn. Alyssa and I run and take out the guys standing there. An alarm starts going off and now the real fun begins. I kick the wheels out of my shoes and start wheeling down the office hallways throwing grenades and shooting blanks. Alyssa behind me was already singing her songs and knocking two guys out with that pole of hers. As I make a loop I see someone familiar in a glass office. The black hair and purple scarring a dead give away as I turn back to Alyssa.

"Yo songbird, your man is here! I'm gonna say hi!" I turn around just in time to see the slight pause in her movements and the bright red flush covered her face. The sound of the door opening and closing is lost in the noise as I look at the burnt chicken nugget himself.

"Dabi, how's it going? Still a fan of Walmart box hair dyes I see?" I hold in a laugh at the look on his face.

"You again, huh? And like you're one to talk about hair dye. What are you three doing here anyway? Did you finally join the heroes?" The sneer prominent in his tone. Yea, he really doesn't like me. I roll my eyes at him and take a seat on the desk.

"No, we like our little arrangement, but we are here thanks to a certain hobo hottie. Gotta bomb some roaches out of hiding and you, my crispy fried foe need to head out before they send my babe here. After all, if you got hurt, well I couldn't handle the look on songbird's face, and we all know you couldn't." I dodge the punch he sends me and the faint sounds of explosions ring in our ears a few seconds before Alyssa comes in with a panicked face. I already know what's going on as I walk out the door with my hand up in a peace sign.

"Gotta go say hi to bakubabe, better hurry up love birds!" I start rolling down the office hall again until I can see the back of a very very angry blonde.

"Baby! I didn't know you were gonna show up, I love seeing you at work." The groan that comes out of him makes zombies sound literate. Bakugo turns to look at me and I can already see his eyes soften as his beautiful smirk takes over his face.

"I thought I recognized the empty grenade canisters, only your dumbass would choose that hideous green." I laughed as he went to hug me but I moved back and ran to the end of the hall.

"Tough talk for someone within cumshot distance! See you later Asshole!" I ran back to the glass office and saw Alyssa saying bye to Dabi while he was halfway out the window. I smile and walk up to them and the look of panic washing across both their faces made me laugh. I put a hand on each of their shoulders and push Dabi out the window seeing him land on a shadowy portal with him shooting me the finger.

"Serpent I thought we agreed that we wouldn't push my boyfriends out of windows anymore! And aren't you supposed to be drooling over Bakugo's biceps right now?" My shoulders were starting to hurt from her shaking me.

"I'm going to do that later, but I had to stall just enough so he would be calm enough to blow your mcnugget into pieces. You're welcome by the way, now let's get back to base and listen to Canvas yell at us, I'm pretty sure Sero and Iida are racing to see who can ask her out first and I don't want to miss it."
