Mizuki was trying to hide her flustered face. While commenting, "Don't get your ego high, it was the only volleyball setter merch there."
"From what I remember you had dad personally customize it for real amount of bucks."
"You are supposed to back me up here." {F}
"Nah I am good."
Oikawa was still chuckling as he went ahead and picked Mizuki up, hissing when the force came to his leg but still managed to get a squeak of fluster out of Mizuki. He casually ejected, "Not much of a hater now are you?"
She put her face in her awaited hands.
"So jr. what do you think of me?"
"Do not get ahead of yourself after this but.... I like your determination, your skills are obviously better than any other setter around and so are your serves but your determination seems to grab my attention the most. Playing with a severely injured leg? Even I cannot imagine myself doing that.. you are something different. A great partner. A great teacher, teaching little kids that is what I mean, giving your team the best captain who they can trust easily. Teaching your junior even if you took him as a rival, I do not know who that was since I stopped watching your middle school's games after you and Iwa-nii left. But I am sure he would be one of the strongest first years all around just because you taught him. You are always happy to help despite your ego. You even treat your fan girls well no matter how annoying brats they be. You can easily be dominant to Iwa-nii but yet you know it is better for you to be in his control. You train hard. You trust your team no matter of their weaknesses. Because you cover them all while making them improve it by constantly tossing sets or serves of kind in the practice and yet they are comfortable with your sets. You gave up the highest ranked school of Miyagi for your own team... That is why I admire you.... despite your trash like fake smiles." [I am a softcore Oikawa stan. Protect him hmph. Her eyes widened as two tears trickled down came out of his overly softened eyes.
She hesitantly wiped them and stated, "Can't have you crying just before your match."
Oh yeah the match. Suga thought with Oikawa. Both their eyes widened as they nodded at each other.
Tooru went in the awaiting bed. Dragging Mizuki with him inside. She blushed. Then Suga put off the lights and left the room, probably to put the track suit Oikawa was wearing into wash. Mizuki was blushing at the close contact with her favourite setter but slept soundly nonetheless.
