So, Clare.... I've been wondering. What is my life worth...to you? I've always wondered that for the longest time now, ever since you became like this.

Clay looked up at the glowing tree before him with a passionate face. "It's been awhile hasn't it Clare? I wonder how long you'll stay in that tree? You're probably mad because I let another girl touch me aren't you? Well to me she doesn't matter all I needed from her was information and I got it. We both know that I don't take love seriously." The tree began to glow a dark red. "So I was right, you're mad I broke our promise." Clay then bent down to one knee and gave his hand forward to the tree. "Please forgive me, master...." The tree then glew a bright white blinding Clay for a moment. Suddenly a woman stood in front of Clay. His eyes widened seeing Clare, and a weird strain seemed to fall over him.

"I forgive you Clay.... Never betray me again, and if you do I will rip you off your wings."

"It will not happen again my master, Clare Victorian." Clay was still on his one knee looking down at the ground as Clare walked up to him.

"My form has changed. You may look at me Clay." He then looked up at her and his face blushed a little standing up. He smiled looking at her.

"It has been a long time master."

"If you don't mind me asking, didn't I tell you to settle down with that one human? Where is she? I shall give her a gift."

"She no longer lives...." Clay's face changed to a face of grief and anger. She looked at him and then put her hand on his cheek.

"The children...." Clay nodded his head in agony as a tear fell down his face, remembering that night. "I am very sorry for the loss Clay. Do you know who did it?" Her voice sounded full of anger but it soothed Clay's heart.

"I do know who did it but I'm not planning on killing them in the very least because I know there's someone pulling the strings and I plan on finding that person to pay the price with their life." Clare smiled looking at Clay.

"You haven't changed all these years, you still have the stench of blood on you." Clay smiled with a slight grin.

"Thank you for the compliment, oh by the way I made a few friends that seem to peak my interest."

"Someone human peaks a god's interest, now that's new. Who are these people?"

"You will meet them in my chambers later today, I don't wish to have them killed so I told them to bring talismans. I don't want your magical circle killing them, just so they can meet you." She began laughing a little.

"Well that's true."

"I will make a summon circle in my chambers so you don't have to walk there so please stay here."

"Very well then." Clay walked out of the room that was now empty.

So Clare Victorian is back. I wonder how the kingdom will take the news of this. Maybe I shouldn't even tell the king, he would probably freak out. All well it's too late for doubts now...right Clare.
