Elle Carter. A soon-to-be first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She had an olive skin tone, soft hazel eyes, and soft, sandy brown hair. Her jawline and cheekbones were sharp and sleek. There was something about her that was elegant and perfect. She was intelligent, and brave, and kind, and loyal.
As she boarded the Hogwarts Express, she couldn't help but be nervous, and her hands shook with anxiety. She didn't know anyone here. She only wished that her best friend, Finn Wheeler, was a wizard.
Elle found an empty compartment towards the end of the train, setting her stuff down and settling onto one of the seats.
A few minutes later, a redheaded girl walked past her compartment, searching for somewhere to sit.
"Hi, could I sit here? Everywhere else is full or full of people I don't like," the girl said, her face lighting up as she laughed.
Elle cracked a smile. "Yeah, of course. I'm Elle, by the way."
"I'm Lily Evans. It's nice to meet you."

Lily and Elle were both sorted into Gryffindor, which Elle noticed rather saddened Lily's friend Severus. (Although in Elle's opinion, he looked greasy.)
The two girls hung out all the time, and occasionally Severus joined them. Elle rather enjoyed Lily's company, but not so much Severus'.
One day, Elle had escaped Severus' awkward flirting attempts on Lily, and made her way to where the concealed Room of Requirement supposedly was.
She walked past the door three times, and a door appeared. Elle marveled at it; it actually existed! She had only read of it before, but now she was standing in front of it.
Elle opened the door and walked inside, finding herself in a vast study with beautiful decorations. She found her favorite book laying on a table, and decided to read it.
"Hello?" a voice sounded minutes later, snapping Elle out of her written reality.
A tall-ish boy with dirty blonde hair appeared, his eyes landing on Elle. A smile formed on his lips, as one did on Elle's.
"Hi, I'm Elle," she said, closing her book.
"I'm Remus," the boy said, grinning at her. "Sorry for startling you, I didn't think anyone else knew this room existed."
"I didn't think so either," Elle chuckled. "You're Gryffindor, right?"
Remus nodded proudly. "So are you, I remember you from the Sorting. I hope that didn't sound weird."
Elle laughed. "Not weird at all."
There was a bit of an awkward silence, until Remus spoke up. "Do you wanna come meet some of my friends?"
"Sure. It beats spending time with greasy Snape," Elle smiled as she stood up, and Remus laughed.
"My friends already have a nickname for him. Snivellous," Remus laughed, shaking his head.
They went to the Gryffindor common room, where three boys were sprawled across two couches. One of them had dirty blonde hair, and was sharing a couch with a brown haired boy. The other had long, dark hair and was rather short.
"Rem!" the long haired boy called as Remus and Elle walked over to the group, and his eyes landed on the latter. "Who's this?"
"I'm Elle," she said shyly, waving at the boys.
"This is James Potter, Peter Pettigrew, and Si-" Remus started, pointing to all the boys.
"Sirius Black. The most attractive one here, by far," Sirius said proudly, grinning. Remus laughed and shook his head.
"Definitely not. I'm the most attractive one, we all know that," James protested, though that's not exactly what his mind was focused on.
He was trying not to stare at Elle. Her white headband holding back her wavy hair, her soft eyes, her adorable dimples. The way her face lit up when she laughed or smiled or talked.
Elle sat and talked with the boys for a while, and she could tell they would become friends. James and Sirius were in an intense match of Gobstones when Lily burst in the room.
"Ellie, there you are!" Lily gasped, walking over to her best friend and grabbing her arms.
"I hate it when you call me that, Lilyflower," Elle groaned. "And I would rather not listen to Snivellous awkwardly and unsuccessfully hit on you for hours on end."
Sirius, Peter, James, and Remus laughed at her use of Snape's nickname, but Lily rolled her eyes.
"Come on, Elles! Sev isn't that bad," Lily said, and Elle raised her eyebrows.
"Lils, he's obsessed with yo-"
"He is not obsessed with me! Besides, I've got to show you something."
Elle sighed before turning to her new friends. "Audios, amigos. We shall meet again. Although I kinda wished we wouldn't."
All four of the boys laughed and waved their goodbyes. Once she was gone, Remus turned to the group.
"So how do you like her?"
"She seems fun," Sirius said, smiling. "I think we might have a new addition to our friend group."
