"I think it's time for us to leave," Mephisto mumbled. "What?" I hissed. "You heard me, let's go." He said before exiting the classroom. I stood up and looked at Rin and Yukio talking. 'I'll talk to him later.' I told myself before following after Mephisto.
I kept my head down as we passed the rest of the class who were still standing out in the hall. I could feel their eyes on me which made me walk faster.
"Why did we leave so suddenly?" I asked Mephisto as he opened the door to his office. "Sachiko, do you remember why I'm letting you live under my guardianship?" He asked, leaving my question hanging in the air. He tended to do that a lot. I've learned to just roll with it.
"Yeah." I answered slowly, "to use me as a weapon against Satan." I sat down in a chair making myself comfortable. I had a feeling we were going to be here for a while.
"Excellent! I'm afraid I have a different favor to ask of you. It's much more important than becoming a silly old exorcist." Mephisto grinned.
"But doesn't that make you a 'silly old exorcist'?" I asked with a smile.
"Very funny... You know who I am, yes?" He continued.
I nodded my head. What was he getting at? I began to feel uneasy. There was something inside of me saying to just walk back to Yukio's class and ignore him. There was no way I'd actually do that. I'm much too timid.
"Can you get to your point now?" I asked. "You're dragging on again it's making me worry."
"Sorry, dear. Anywho, I need you to do me a favor. You see, as the head of the Japan branch and Satan's former second in command, I have a lot going on. Including watching over my younger siblings." Mephisto's grin only widened, making my instincts scream at me.
"You said siblings." I replied slowly. "Meaning more than one."
"Exactly!" Mephisto exclaimed.
At that exact moment, I heard a thump. A thump that came from Mephisto's bookshelf. A thump of someone jumping off of something. I stiffened and turned to see what made the noise.
"Sachiko, meet Amaimon the Demon King of Earth. Your new job is to keep an eye on him and keep him out of trouble."
