Chapter 3
When I saw her
Joe's POV
"Wow, I am late to Maddie's" I said rushing off
She really hates it when I am late.
.................
"Maddie!" I said banging the door
I had been standing here for a while and she was clearly ignoring me because I could hear her.
"Maddie seriously. I am leaving then and....."
......Door creaks.......
"So you were just behind the door?"
"Just come in, Joe" she said beckoning me to enter.
Let's say I wanted to annoy her so I continued
"Is that anyway to treat your boyfriend"
"Boyfriend? Not in a thousand years" She said repulsed
Then we shared a laugh.
Of course I wasn't her boyfriend. I have been her best friend for as long as I can remember.
......After a while.......
We had been chatting for what felt like an hour
And then......
.........phone rings.........
"Joe I have to pick this" Maddie said looking intently at her phone.
"Hey girl" She said cheeringly
After a while
"Okay, see you soon!" she said and with that cut the call.
I raised my eyebrows questionly at her.
"Who is she?" I said unable to hide my curiosity.
"That was Cherryl, my cousin. She is so dramatic but also very sweet. You will love her"
"Tell me more about her" I said hoping to find out more
..........doorbell rings..........
"Ooops. She is here already. You will have to find out yourself" She said
She was heading to the door then walked back
"Please don't do what you did to me to her. Just open to door" I said really exhausted
And Maddie smiled but still didn't go to the door
"Fine, I will get it then" I said
"Get back here, Joe" She said sharply
"The only reason why I opened the door for you was because it was locked. You know I don't do doors." She said looking cross.
"Okay, alright" I said tired of arguing
Then we started laughing.
She obviously didn't know I was going to be there because when she entered she walked straight to my side with her fixed on Maddie with very angry eyes.
"Well, hello" Maddie said to Cherryl after several seconds.
She was so pretty. Wow. She had red hair and beautiful eyes. And curves at the right places.
And while I was admiring her they were busy arguing
"I thought you would come over. To open the door for me. You know I am lazy Especially with doors." Cherryl said literally almost in tears.
These girls are indeed cousins I said quietly laughing
"So, how are you? I thought you would come over tomorrow." Maddie said
"Well, that was the plan until..." She said clearly pissed
Rolls her eyes and continues
"Mum and dad said I should go to school tomorrow." She said blankly
"Seems they have forgotten how much I love school..." She said sarcastically
They share a laugh and then...
I started coughing you know just in case they had forgotten I existed
Seriously, I mean, how can you ignore someone for that long
