Chapter 13

"Tyler how did you get these seats?"

"You just met how I got them. I know the coach and the team. Let's sit down."

"How on Earth do you have these connections?"

"I just got lucky. I basically grew up in this stadium. I've been to almost every home game here for the past 9 years."

"Oh my God what? That's insane!"

"Ya but I know the team. When I go to college and get to the NFL I have an in with the team."

"How do you know you're in going to the NFL?"

"Well scouts are looking at me. I've gotten offers to a lot of places. Penn State, Ohio, Florida State, even a guy from Boston College came down."

"Tyler that's unbelievable."

"I'm blessed to have all this. I can't believe I grew up the way I did."

"What do you mean?"

"Nothing. Let's just watch the game."

Well it's fair to say we kicked ass. We won 45 to 14. We stayed after for about an hour to talk to the team again. That was so much fun!

"Tyler that was so cool! The crowd went wild and all the loud music was awesome!"

"I'm glad you liked it."

"Where are we going?" We headed toward the river, not toward the subway.

"I have another surprise."

"What is with you and surprises?"

"What is with you and all the questions?" He cocked his head to one side and pulled me along down to the river.

We got there and there was a little sailboat waiting at the edge with some guy waiting to sail it.

"What's this?"

"Just get in the boat Green."

"Ok ok sheesh." I climbed in and Tyler pushed the boat into the water and jumped in. He waved hi to the man sailing it. We went towards the front of the boat so the other guy couldn't really see us.

"Ok since you won't answer my questions, do you want to ask me any questions?"

"Ok sure. Have you ever had a boyfriend?" Cutting right to the chase I see.

"Yes. One, Cam. We broke up a while ago."

"Can I ask why?"

"He wasn't who I thought he was. The relationship to him was about sex. When I wouldn't do it with him, he dumped me." Thinking about really hurts. I don't ever want to go through that again.

"I'm sorry to hear that."

"Ya it kinda sucks. But I've moved on. He never did actually say he loved me. Ever. We were together for a year."

"Don't stress about that now Ana. It just wasn't meant to be."

"Anything else?"

"Who's your favorite singer?"

"Taylor Swift hands down."

"That's what every girl says! Other than Taylor Swift."

"American Authors."

"Wow that's a switch. Why them?"

"I don't know. I just really love their music."

"What's your favorite song on the album?"
