Three Years later

Three years later..
The seasons have changed so many times, the ground turned to green in spring and watermelon was the favorite snack to cool the summer heat...
The leafs fell in autumn and most of the animals looked for shelter in December..

Three years have passed, a lot have changed, and a lot have happened

The sound of his steps got lost as he walked in one of London's busiest streets, as it rains with a jacket and a scarf covering half of his face except for his blue eyes, with an umbrella in his hand

He came to London on a mission, for an important business man have been contacting him for a while to solve a case, and shinchi finally got the chance to travel and meet his client.

"Three years have passed, where are you now? How have you been? Have you forgotten us? ... shiho" he said as he was looking at the sky
Three years have passed and shiho didn't come back yet, she didn't run away this time, she traveled the world and sent them a letter every time she arrives to a country.
First she went to korea and sent them a letter with a post card, that arrived to them just in time for Christmas.
And a few months later another letter arrived from China, exactly beijing in spring with a postcard of her in a tea farm.

And after a few other months, another letter arrived from India exactly from Agra and a postcard of her with another girl in front of Taj mahal.
And with these letters shinchi and hakase who was waiting eagerly for them to arrive, concluded that shiho started her trips with a tour around asia.

And her next letter contained:

"Dear hakase,
How are you? And how have you been? Did you miss me yet? It's been months since my last letter, I surly missed you so much.

Well, as you can see from my last letter I was in Great India such a great country, full of colors and life, I went to Taj Mahal with a friend I met on a train, who I will tell you about in my next letter.
Did you know hakase that Taj Mahal is considered one of the wonders of the world, such a marvelous place, tales says that the Mughal emperor built it for his beloved wife
Such an interesting story, that I wanted to share.

Tell me hakase,
How is kodu kun? Is he still a corpse magnet? Well I'm sure he is, I hope he's and Ran san picked a date for the wedding can't wait to witness the happiness that awaits them, tell me hakase do you still check on the detective boys? Oh I miss them so much, I've been thinking about them lately, I do contact them every now and then though.
Well that's all,
By the time you receive this letter I will be on a plane to Italy

Shinchi repeated the letter in his mind like a record, he held it in his bucket next to his heart wherever he went, the letter went with him

As he stood waiting to cross the street, someone was running behind him

"Move"

He didn't hear anything for his mind was elsewhere.

"Oh please, MOVE"

Still, he didn't realize anything

"I said, mov... oh"

And shinchi got pumped by someone, or by a lady who was running to cross the street, with a book in her hand
As soon as shinchi got his balance back, he saw the book that flew out of her hands, and almost fell to the ground, as a detective he was fast and caught it with his hand "there you g... hmm A scandal in bohemia"
He was about to look at the person who had the same taste in books as him but, the girl quickly snatched the book and ran away waving and saying "thanks", she was not holding an umbrella in that rainy weather and had a long coat on and a scarf around her neck, she looked in a hurry.
"She got a taste in books" he smiled as he remembered the last time he read this book, it was at the mall with shiho on his side and the book in his hand and him, reading the first page for her
He suddenly got struck with something, that voice, that girl's voice looked so familiar to him yet so far away.
He quickly ran after her, trying to catch up to her
"Hey, hey"
She was far away she couldn't hear him
He was only running behind that girl that was wearing a blue coat, in hope to find in her the shadows of someone he longed for..

"Hey, excuse me"

He almost tripped, and as soon as he raised his gaze to follow her, she was no where to be found
"I lost her" he whispered

"You finally came, what took you so long and why are you soaked"

"I pumped into someone, You said it was an emergency, what is it again sera"

"Yeah, it's a real situation this time, a body has been discovered detective" serra said

"Take me to the location"

Serra walked with the detective, who examined the palace

"What happened?"

"Well, I came to have a late lunch with my friends as I told you before and, we suddenly heard a scream coming from the male's toilet, and we found him like this, I called you and called the police right away"

"Well thank god, I was close, is he here with someone?"

"Well these are his friends"

And so the investigation began

Shinchi was setting in a coffee shop, waiting for his client.
As he was drinking his coffee, his mind went to the event that happened an hour ago.
"I must be going crazy for thinking that it was her ..... but again, that voice, I could recognize her voice anywhere" he remembered their last meeting, it was at his mansion where they danced in the snow and her words, her last words before leaving, the words and her voice that was stuck in his mind for the past three years
"Oh shiho, you did it again, you disappeared and left me behind you wondering"

As the person who he was supposed to meet sent him an email apologizing that he couldn't make it.
He finished the coffee that warmed his body in that winter, he looked at the window, the rain finally stopped
"I should take a walk" he wore his jacket and stepped out of the restaurant, as he crossed the street he found the people crowded in front of a restaurant.
His curiosity got the better of him
He tried to look inside but he couldn't, he found the police car outside, and heard the people whispering
"Is it a dead body?"
"Could it be a suicide?"
"Oh god, a crime?"
He quickly tried to pass the people and go inside
"Excuse me"
"Excuse me, I'm a detective"
"Excuse me ma'am, oh hello I'm a detective"
And as he went inside he looked around looking for the body
But the policemen were already covering it.
"Hey, excuse me may I take a look"
"There's no need to take a look young man, the case has already been solved"
Shinchi looked behind him and it was the inspector talking
"Oh my if it wasn't the detective kudo shinchi himself, sorry I didn't recognize you, I was looking forward to meeting you someday"
"Thank you so much inspector, it was a pleasure meeting you sir"
"Oh call me Tom please"
"Well what happened here?"
"There was a murder, but the killer was caught by another detective"
"Who is he, I would love to meet him"
"Well he was a SHE" the inspector corrected, "and she's right there" he pointed to a girl with a short black hair standing and looking around.

He walked to her and extended his hand to shake her hand, she looked at him and smiled.

"You must be looking for the detective, well it's not me, it her" and she pointed behind her to a girl who was giving them her back and trying to wear her coat.

He looked at her, her coat is blue, and her long strawberry blonde hair, is dancing with the wind , he walked slowly to her, his mind is everywhere, and his heart is beating so fast
"Could it be..." he whispered
He extended his hand and touched her shoulder
She turned around, and it happened again...
"I ... it's you!"
