POV ERICA
I lay in my bed, staring at the curtain that covers my window. The sun was out, and I can feel the heat radiating through my room. I had been awake for a while and was basically ready for the day. I wanted to relax for a bit before Lucas picked me up for the fair. I pick up my phone to check the time. Lucas should be here in about ten minutes, and I want to look extra cute for him. I hop off my bed and look into my full body mirror to double-check what I decided to wear. I chose high waisted, mid-thigh light blue shorts, a cute black crop top, and some flat toms. My hair was in a high ponytail with a bow above it. I didn't feel completely happy with it, so I first took my hair down, and removed the bow for good. I braid my hair into an over the shoulder braid and use the hair tye that was on my wrist to hold it together. I also decided to change my shoes to some cute black boot heels. I look in the mirror one more time, very happy with how it turned out.
It was perfect timing, as I hear a car horn honk out front. I grab my phone and my wallet, because taking a big bag to the fair was too much, and head out to meet Lucas. He waited out of the car in front of my door to give me a hug and a kiss. "You look so sexy." He compliments me while we hugged. His hands trailed down my back and grabbed a handful of my butt. I pull away from him.
"Not in front of my house Lucas," I demand him. I was irritated by this, because he knew I didn't like showing off any PDA, besides kissing here and there, and hand-holding. I'm the good girl. Also, I did not want my parents looking out the window and seeing that.
"Sorry babe, your body just looks perfect right now." He states, and then starts walking around to his side of the car. I open the door to his blue jeep and hopped in.
"I appreciate the compliment, but just remember how I feel about those things, okay?" I ask him once we are both seated in the car.
"Yeah, sure babe." He responded, but it didn't seem like he quite meant it. He puts the car in drive and we head off to the fair. His phone was on the aux cord and he jams to some of his EDM music. I didn't mind this kind of music, but sometimes I wish he would listen to something else. But since we were about to go have some fun, I got into it so I would be in a good mood. About 35 minutes later, we arrive at the fair and find a place to park. I examine the fair out the rolled-down car window, and the Ferris Wheel catches my eye.
"Can we ride the Ferris Wheel at sunset tonight?" I ask Lucas excitedly. It would be super cute and romantic, and I would love to have that moment with him. He looks at me and smiles.
"Yeah sure, that can be the last thing we do tonight." He responds and then grabs my hand to hold it. I look down and intertwine my fingers with his, a smile spreading across my face. I pull my phone out to read a text from Olivia saying they had just arrived and would meet us at the gate. A few minutes later we park, get out of the Jeep, and start walking towards the entrance to the fair. Lucas glides his hand softly into mine as we walk, leans in, kisses my cheek, and says. "I love you, baby." I felt my cheeks heat up a little.
"I love you too," I say back to him, and we kiss on the lips.
"There are the two love birds," Olivia calls out, clearly trying to get our attention. I look over to her and smile. She has on the cutest polka-dotted red dress and her hair is up in a high ponytail, showing off her facial structure nicely. I smile and jog up to her, super excited for the fun we were all about to have.
We went through the fair, riding all the rides, but taking our time doing so. We played a couple of the games they had, and Lucas won me a white stuffed bunny from the basketball hoop game. We took a break together, ate some ice cream, and people-watched for a bit; more so Lucas and the guy Olivia had brought. He seemed alright, shy at first, but once warmed up he was good company to be around. Olivia and I took a few selfies together with our ice cream so we wouldn't forget the amazing time we were having with each other. I was so glad Lucas was on his best behavior with her around, it meant so much that he shows he cares about my feelings. "Ready for the Ferris Wheel m'lady?" Lucas asks, tickling my sides a little, and then holding his hand out for me. I grab it and he pulls me up from the grass.
