The war was over, Harry had defeated the Dark Lord once and for all. They were safe, the wizidaring world was free of the dark and looming atmosphere that Voldemort had placed over their lives. It was a battle that would go down in history, and would soon become an old folks tale people would tell their children. The amazing battle of Hogwarts, in which Harry Potter took down the Dark Lord himself.

But it wouldn't be that way for everyone. Some wouldn't remember it as the battle they would write in history books. Instead, they would remember it as the day they lost someone. The day they lost a best friend, a sibling, child or lover. Amelia sat on a window ledge of one of the many large windows in the castle of Hogwarts. The castle that had been destroyed before her very eyes, the first place she had learned to call home. Footsteps echoed through the corridor, but Amelia couldn't bring herself to look up to see who it was. It wasn't until the person sat down, that Amelia looked up to see who it was.

"Hi Ginger." Amelia whispered, offering nothing but a pained smile. "Come on little one, George is going crazy looking for you." 28 year old Bill Weasley whispered back, placing a soft hand on her shoulder. Amelia nodded her head allowing Bill to guide her as she stood with uneasy feet. "Bill it hurts," Amelia said, her voice cracking as she did so.

"I know." Bill replied, wrapping an arm around the girls shoulders. They stood in the middle of the corridor, Bill wrapping his arms around Amelia almost shielding her from the world outside. The girl cried into his chest, soaking his jacket in tears as she broke down. "W-What amI going to do. I can't h-have this baby w-without him." Amelia cried, pulling back from Bill slightly, the both of them looking down to her stomach. "Your pregnant?" Bill asked, making Amelia nod her head in response.

"Oh little one." Bill sighed, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and leading her the rest of the way to the great hall where everyone else was. Amelia stopped front of the doors, seeing a group of red heads huddled together hugging and grieving. Grieving the loss of a son, a brother, a best friend. The light in the dark, the rock when no one realized it. Fred was always the one to pick up on anyone's off mood, and would swoop in with a joke, prank and sometimes just a hug to lighten the mood. He was so much in a world where they all had so little, and he was gone in just mere seconds. "I can't go in there Bill." Amelia begged, holding onto the mans arm and urging them to stop where they were.

"You have to say goodbye Amelia..." Bill said softly, pushing her knotted hair behind her ear. "I can't Bill - I already did when I held him up in that stupid tower!" Amelia cried, her voice growing louder which caught the eye of many in the great hall. George being on of the ones who was looking for the cause of the loud disruption. When he spotted Bill and Amelia outside the great hall doors, his mother nodded to him. George ran through the crowd of people trying to find their friends and loved ones. He ran until he reached the short girl and wrapped her in his arms tight.

"I've got it from here. Thank you, Bill." George whispered to his oldest brother. Bill nodded before walking into the great hall to be with the rest of his family. "Hey, hey it's okay." George whispered his own voice cracking, as he cradled Amelias head, pushing her hair down as she sniffled.  "It's not though, things will never be the same again." Amelia whimpered.

George sighed, looking up to the cracking ceiling of the castle. "I know they won't. But we can't change what happened." The two stayed wrapped in each others arms for a few minutes, before George pulled away and looked down to her. "Are you coming?" He asked motioning to the great hall where the rest of his - their family was waiting for them. Amelia took a deep breath before nodding and taking the boys outstretched hand. She held it with so much force she thought she would break her own wrist trying not to let go.

George looked back at her and gave her a small smile. "I'm not going anywhere little traitor." George told her, trying to bring back the nickname he gave her eight years ago when they met. Amelia gave him a nod before they finally made it to the Weasley family. "Oh dear, come come." Mrs. Weasley said with a sad smile, opening her arms to the woman who wasn't much shorter than Amelia herself. "I'm sorry I couldn't save him." Amelia whispered as she hugged the woman.

"Sweetie, you gave him a lifetime in those eight years. That's all I could ever ask for."
