The wind was cold that day. Rain was falling hard and it was difficult to see with the fog encompassing everything. Smells of wet animals, plants, and clothing filled Adora's nostrils. Normally on dreary days like this, she would just stay in the castle and read a book. However, today she felt like taking a walk. No explanation, just this overwhelming feeling that she should go outside. These woods have a mysterious story to them. Adding to the strange feeling she was getting.

All of her surroundings intrigue and enhanced her senses. Enough to hear something. Something different than what was there a moment ago. The bushes beside her began to rustle, more violently than if a rabbit or squirrel was the cause of it. Drawing the sword from her sheath, Adora armed herself for the possible threat beside her. Ears tingling, eyes sharpening, and a steady breath. Slowly stepping closer, the bush stops rustling.
Hmm, she thought to herself, must be nothing. Letting out a huff with relief. With more of an alert focus, she pulled at her cape and continued walking.

Leaving little dents in the wet ground from the footprints being left behind. The trees slowly sway in the pouring cold rain. One appeared to be bending down as if a person bending down to pick something up. It's beauty and abnormality lured her and strangely enticed her. Adora's pace slowly quickened as she headed for it. Passing through some thorny bushes and roses she arrived near the tree. Just under the arch of it, a figure was standing there. She went to a near bush hiding herself from the possible prey before her.

The figure was shaped as a human, but with something out of it. She took her sword out of its sheath again to attack. Gradually getting closer to the figure while also remaining hidden, the figure becomes more and more clear. The figure was a Magicat, a female Magicat. To Adora's surprise, she rustled in the bush that she was hiding in. The Magicat looked around with ears perked up, listening. She grabbed a knife from her side and drew it up.

"Is someone there?" She growled. "Come out and show yer face, coward!" She huffed in what sounded almost disappointment. As if she was looking for a fight. Her body relaxed and walked back under the arch of the tree knife in hand.

Adora peered her head over the bush a little higher. Her curiousity had her peaked. Even though Magicats weren't extinct, she hasn't seen one in over a thousand years. So Adora just sat there pondering what the Magicat was doing there and what she was going to do next. Suddenly Adora's stomach began to growl violently. Her curiosity was masked by the feeling of hunger. No longer caring for the charade, she put her sword back into its sheath. A thin fog turned black as she transformed into a bat and flew over to the Magicat.

She flew beside her and the cat swatted at Adora to go away. The fog became black again as Adora transformed back. Something about Adora's eyes changed. Her eyes went from a blue-grey to a blood red with black soulless pupils. Making her more terrifying. Adora reached out for the Magicat. She yelped and tried pushing Adora away. After succeeding and putting some distance between the two, the cat looked at Adora with angry and gentle eyes. Her look made Adora hesitant to suck the blood out of her. Trying to get her footing, the Magicat looked at the ground and back up at Adora.

"Wow a creature of the night. Didn't think I'd get an opportunity like this." She smiled. "To die so nobly at the hands of yer kind. My name will go down in history. Alas my fate has come." She sarcastically sighs.

"Are you mocking me?" Adora shouted walking her closer and closer towards a tree. Snarling as she spoke.

"Of course not. I wouldn't want to mock such a dangerous creature." She continues to smile at Adora. Why is she doing that? Does she not want her life? Does she not realize I'm about to suck her dry? Adora thought to herself.

"You speak boldly, mortal!" Adora pulled her sword out and pointed it to the Magicat's neck. Slowly walking forward she asks, "Then again, what would I expect of such a fragile creature? To speak nonsense so near to their death. That they have no common sense left to do the logical thing and flee for their life." The cat's body pressed against the tree and Adora lowered her sword but left it at the ready.
