I took a step towards her closing the space between us. My fingers darted to her sides, tickling her furiously. She squirmed trying to get away from me but weak from her laughter.
"River Cross is the most amazing boy-no, man, I have ever met and I wish I could be him. Say it and I'll let you go"I bargained.
"Never!" She laughed harder as I turned the tickling up a notch.
She squirmed more and more, walking backwards to try and escape me but it was no use. She backed into a wall and our laughter slowly died down. I stairs into her beautiful eyes. I grabbed her hand and lead her out of the school. We walked along the side walk until we were out on the field behind the school. Still hand in hand we walked up the bleachers to the very top. We sat down side by side, then she looked at me.
"Why did you bring me up here?" She quizzed.
"Why do we do anything? Why do we wake up and go to school 5days a week? Why do we sleep at night? Why does the sun rise and set? Why do some people have to be so shitty?" I rambled on and on.
She stared at me with a loss of words, then it was like the words had hit her all at once, "Why do we eat? Why do we feel? Why do we follow in the footsteps of others like little robots? I mean, maybe I don't want to be a doctor or a lawyer! Maybe I want to travel or be a director!" She finished.
We looked each other in the eyes, then a smile broke out on each of our faces and we laughed yet again.
I looked at my phone quick, the lunch bell is going to ring soon I thought to myself.
"Would you like to come over later tonight for a movie?" I asked Lux, feeling a sudden burst of confidence.
She smiled wide but then quickly tried to hide it, playing it cool.
"Ya sure!" She answered nodding her head.
"Cool, I'll see you around 7:30ish?"
"Sounds good!"
We walked off the bleachers and off to our next classes.

7:30 rolled around a lot faster than I thought it would. I had almost everything ready; I made popcorn and brought down pillows from my Nana's room and my Mums room and from my room....'Is it over kill?' I asked myself, looking at the scene I had set. before me was a 3 seater old but comfy couch, pillows spread evenly an nicely (thanks to my Mum) finally some blankets folded off to the side just incase we got cold.
"You must really like this girl-"my Mum was cut off by a knock at the door. I straightened out my tee shirt and ran my fingers threw my hair one last time before opening the door.
"Hey..."
"Hi...""Hey sweetheart! Come on in, you must be Lux! I've heard so much about you!" Thankyou Mother, Tankyou.
I stepped over opening the door for Lux to come in. She had her long pretty hair tied in a loose bun at the back, a band shirt, and skinny jeans. So simple yet so gorgeous.
"Well, I'll be upstairs, holler if you need me!" My Mum said before fleeting up the stairs.
The first few minuets were filled with an awkward silence.
"Soo..." I sighed.
"So." She said simply."What kind of movies do you like?" I asked, clicking on the Netflix icon on the Apple T.V.
"Anything from Tim Burton to The Exorcist." She said reaching into the popcorn bowl.
I looked back at her and smiled. I think.... I think my mom was right.
I scrolled threw finally putting on some horror movie I haven't ever heard of before, something about a ransom note or whatever.
The movie started and I flicked off the lights then went and sat next to Lux.
Halfway threw the movie Lux had cuddled into me, placing her head on my chest and butterfly's in my tummy. Everything about her is so perfect. They way she talked and walked, they way her pink lips curl into that smirk. The way-
"You done staring?" She cut me off.
She turned to look up at me and even though it was dark her eyes shone bright."Nope, not quite." I said, taking in every inch of her then looking back into her eyes.
Before I had even noticed it, I was leaning in and she did the same; our lips meeting half way.
I had kissed plenty of girls in the past and none of them had ever felt like this. It wasn't the fireworks an shit like they say in movies and books. It felt real.
She pulled away first.
"Why do we kiss? Why do we smile? Why do we laugh? Why do we watch movies? Why do we sit on couches instead of counters? Just.....why?" She said, staring me in the eyes.
"I don't know. I guess it's all kinda funny." I smiled, kissing her lips quickly.
