***disclaimer: So I wrote this book like 4 years ago when I was 13. It's a pretty good story I guess, but I no longer write. I still like R5 as a band and frequently see them play when they're in the area, but I've moved on to other things I'm interested in. Read at your own risk!
Chapter 1
Jillian's P.O.V
I don't understand why everyone in school is going insane about the lottery. Something about that it was up for a lot of money and blah blah blah blah. If you asked me, I couldn't give a damn about it. I highly doubt anyone from my school will win. Why do these people waste their money on such foolish things? "Ms. Delfrè? Would you like to give us the answer to number fifteen?" Mr. Dalton asks me, waking me from my day dream. A thousand eyes look my way. "Uh.. Um..-" "I thought so," he grimaces, calling on another student to answer his ridiculous question. I roll my eyes when he isn't looking, and wish I was somewhere else. Math is not one of my best subjects, it never was. And having the worst teacher for Math in the entire high school made it suck even more. I glance up toward the wall clock, noticing (thank god) there is only 3 more minutes left of class. Mr. Dalton is still rambling on about some math problem, so I sneak out my phone that I shoved in my Ugg boot. I look back at my friend Chris who has the same idea as me. It's fine to text in class, but the key is not to get caught. And if you do get caught, well, I don't know what to tell you then.
Finally, when the bell rings everyone jumps out if their seats, crowding around the door way. "You have page 44 in the packet! It's due tomorrow counting as a home work!" Yells Mr. Dalton, as basically half the class is already long gone out the door. When I walk out the door I feel someone tug at my book bag. I turn my head around to see my friend Chris walking along with me by my side. "Hey, dude," I say, flinging my book bag around my shoulder. "Sup? Mr. Dalton is such an idiot! How are we supposed to do 50 math problems in one day?" He complains. "I know. He pisses me off so much. Anyway, have you heard about this lottery thing?" "Yeah. My parents bought like twenty tickets. Doubt we're gonna win, though." "I know. The hole thing is bogus." "Welll.." He trails off. "C'mon dude, don't tell me you actually think anyone in this school has a chance at wining." "They might.." "Sure, whatever," I go, ending it. He smirks at me, and I know he's mentally rolling his eyes in a joking way. We have lunch next together, so at least I get to see some of my other friends and just chill. Then I have Science and then English, then I get to finally got home for the weekend! We have an entire week off for Christmas. I can't wait to go to Colorado for Christmas, I'll get to see my cousin Samantha for the first time in two years. I hope she hasn't changed too much.
*next chapter will be up sometime tomorrow afternoon!!*
