Chapter 10
Jillian’s P.O.V
“Whoa! Sorry about that,” I go, stepping back a foot or so. “Ha, it’s fine. I was just wondering if you wanted to come over to my cabin,” Ross asks, then makes a weird face at my cabin window. “SAY YES! SAY YESS!!” I hear Sam repeat over and over, knocking on the window. Has she been watching us this whole time? “I’m sorry about that,” I say, rolling my eyes, and shooing Sam away from the window. She holds a thumbs up and runs off to somewhere else in the cabin. “It’s fine. So, do you want to come?” “Yeah, sure! Let me just go grab my jacket inside. I’ll be right out.” “Okay, I’ll be waiting right here.” When I run inside to grab my coat Sam playfully tackles me. “Oh my gosh! He just invited you to his place! You are soooo lucky,’ she says, jumping up and down witch excitement. “Yes, Sam. I am very aware of what just happened five seconds ago,” I try to kindly say, as I put on my leather jacket. “Well, have fun. Text me if anything, well, you know.. happens.” “Wow, Sam, nothing is going to happen. I can guarantee you that.” She gives me a mysterious grin, and tiptoes off to the kitchen. Sometimes I really worry about that girl, you know..
Ross’ family’s cabin is exquisite! It is much bigger than ours, and they have an extension to their den. I guess you can really live big when you have the money. Wit a second.. I do have the money! I totally forgot I just won the lottery, and earned myself five hundred dollars! Juts when I thought life could not have gotten any better, wow. “Let me introduce you to my entire family,” Ross tells me, leading me into the den where I see his brothers playing video games. “Hey, guys! This is my friend Jillian, she’s one of the girls who we went sledding with last night, but I don’t think we all officially met her. Well, besides Ratliff.” I smile and wave at everyone, who looks at me without blinking and jaws dropped. “Hi,” I shyly say, looking around the room for someone to reply to me. One boy with Brownish-redish hair whistles and can’t keep his eyes off of me. I glace at Ross for an explanation, but he looks just as surprised as I do. “Ryland!” He warns the boy, who now I knows name is Ryland. “That’s my brother Ryland, that’s Rocky, Riker, and you know Ratliff,” he points to the boys. “They can be a little… immature sometimes,” he informs me. Rocky immediately runs up to me and started talking to me. He took me by the hand and started pulling my into his bedroom when Ross grabbed my other hand, pulling me his way. “Hey, DUDE I called dibs!” Yells Rocky, tightening his grab on my hand. “You can’t call dibs on a girl!” Ross blurts back, tugging me his way. “Guys!!” I squeal, trying to break them up. They don’t stop. “Oh really? I CALL DIBS! I just did,” retorts Rocky, looking at Riker for help. “Guys just let her go! She’s not the front seat in your mom’s minivan,” I hear a girls voice say behind me. I spin around on my heel to see a tall girl with strait blonde hair. She looks older than me, but I can tell she loves Hello Kitty, and the color pink. She pulls the two boys off of me, and gives me a pleasant smile. “Hi. I’m Rydel, their sister,” she tells me. “hi, I’m Jillian. I’m staying a few cabins down from here.” “Awesome! You look familiar. Weren’t you one of the girls we went sledding with last night?” “Yeah, I was with my cousin, Sam. She’s kind of a huge fan of you guys.” “Really?! That’s great. I’m sorry about these guys. They see a new girl in the house and they go berserk,” she tells me, rolling her eyes playfully at the boys. I laugh. Ross pulls me into his room, closing the door behind him..
