Every time someone points out a problem about us it is natural to go in "defence mode", not only because someone is destroying a part of you, but also because it is a natural defence mechanism. For millions of years, the best way to grow in the dominance hierarchy was to win a confrontational argument ( physical or verbal ). While modern society requires a different skillset. A skillset that lets you work together to solve solutions. Because those abilities aren't inherently biological, We have to develop them. But to learn is to lose an old part of your self (go out of your comfort zone).
