It's been... Some time since I last talked to most of my friends.
Shotaro and I still talk. Since I ranted to him, we've gotten closer. He knows when I have problems, and hears me out when I need someone to talk to.
Yangyang and I are still friends, of course. We acted like his indirect confession never happened, but I realize that he's been a bit more distant. Like, it feels kinda awkward everytime we talk.
Jaemin and I have gotten a bit distant. We do talk sometimes, since we're both in the same class and have the same friends, but that's it. Asides that, we either pass each other as if we don't know each other or smile and wave.
Do I even need to talk about my relation with Donghyuck? He's avoiding me, so I just chose to roll with it. Whenever we meet, we just stare at each other before quickly looking away.
I'm glad Jeno and I are still friends, though. We're both in the same club and class, so that's a plus side too. However, after all that has happened, I don't really feel the same way I did. I mean, I still like him, but I feel like my feelings are... Disappearing...
Lastly, Renjun. We never really talked much in the first place.
That was until this one time...
During lunch period, I was sitting in class alone, reading a book, when Renjun appeared.
"There you are!" He exclaimed as he walked into the empty class. "I need you to do me a very important favor!"
"Well, yeah, I can tell..." I mumbled as I put down my book, not forgetting to mark the page I left off in. "Anyways, how important is this favor that you need to ask me for help-"
Renjun reached into his pocket, then slammed a wad of cash on my desk.
"That's five hundred thousand won! Please be my comrade!"
"H-hold on! Renjun! Calm your tiddies down!"
It took some time, but at least I managed to get Renjun to calm down.
"Right, now tell me what the hell is going on." I nodded.
"Okay..." He took a deep breath. "To make everything simpler... Zhang Rou is my cousin."
My eyes widened at what he said.
"You mean... The novelist...?" I raised a brow.
"Yes, that novelist who can write two totally different novels as if she's bipolar or something." Renjun rolled his eyes.
"Um... What about her?"
Renjun looked around before looking back at me.
"This is a spoiler okay?" He asked in a low voice, making me hum in response. "Our school wants to do a play in a few months, and the director is going to be your friend. I think her name was Jangmi?"
"Yeah, Kim Jangmi." I sighed, shaking my head.
"Well, she happens to know Rou and asked Rou to write the script." Renjun explained. "The thing is, when Rou writes, she would ask any relative of hers and a comrade of their choice to become her so-called muses."
"Oh, I see." I nodded. "You're the chosen one this time, aren't you?"
"Exactly." He sighed. "This time, she wants me to bring a female comrade and I have no other female friends asides you, so I want you to be my comrade."
"... Okay, but why do you need to pay me?" I raised a brow. "It's really unnecessary, y'know..."
"Well, I thought you wouldn't want to, so I thought I could pay you to do it..." Renjun shyly admitted.
