"Hey." Oliver sat down beside Felicity at the bar.
"Hey." Felicity said, playing with the straw in the half empty glass in front of her.
The blue eyed man shifts slightly. "You okay?"
Felicity nodded. "Yeah. I'm okay." She shrugged. "Drink?" She asked.
"Sure." Oliver responds, shifting. "I'll pay."
"I can pay, that's why I asked if you wanted a drink." Felicity said.
Oliver slowly nods his head, not wanting to upset her.
Felicity offered him a smile and pulled her purse from her pocket. "What would you like?"
"You choose." Oliver responds with a shrug.
Felicity signaled the bartender and ordered Oliver his drink. She paid then waited patiently for the drink. Once it arrived, she nudged it towards Oliver with her hand.
Grabbing it, Oliver smiles. "Thank you." he says before taking a drink. "Delicious, what is it?"
"It's just a mix of fruit." Felicity shrugged, sipping her water.
The blue eyed man shifts slightly. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing? Why do you think something is wrong?" Felicity asked.
"You seem upset." Oliver responds with a shrug.
"I'm fine." Felicity said. "Nothing's wrong."
"Okay." He responds, going back to the drink.
Felicity went back to her own drink too.
"You ready for the upcoming holiday?" Oliver asks, turning to face her.
"I'm staying here." Felicity said with a shrug. "My mom is going away with her new boyfriend and my dad..." She trailed off and dropped her head. "He's not around."
Oliver reaches over and gently squeezes her hand. "Why don't you spend it with me and my family?"
Felicity looked up at him. "No... I couldn't... I wouldn't want to impose." She said. "I'll just study. I've never really been one to celebrate the holidays." She sighed. "My dad was arrested on Christmas Day when I was seven, since then I've never really celebrated." She explained. She hadn't told anyone this, Sara and Caitlin were the only two who knew, but she found herself compelled to tell him everything about herself.
Oliver nods his head in understanding. "It would mainly just be the rest of my clan and I."
Felicity shifted on the bar stool she was sitting in. "I don't know. Being in a room with a bunch of vampires. I'd feel like the main course." She dropped her head.
"You won't be the only human. Sara and Caitlin will be there along with some of the others' mates." He responds warmly.
"Sara and Caitlin told me they were going home to their families for the holidays." Felicity took a drink of her water.
Oliver shakes his head. "They're going to our holiday home."
Felicity looked at him. She sighed. "You really want me to come?"
"Yes, I'd love to have you there." Oliver responds.
Felicity took a deep breath. "Fine, but if anyone looks at me like I'm a piece of meat, I'm out of there."
"If anyone looks at you like you're a piece of meat, I'll kill them." Oliver responds calmly.
Felicity frowned. "I thought you said you didn't kill."
