"Let's not play."

I know everyone are throwing glances at us. Sino bang hindi? Seryoso kaming naguusap habang magkaharap. Idagdag mo na rin na nanunuod sa amin ang mga una naming kapares na sina Sofi at Adrian.

Hindi ko makita kung nasaan ang tatlong guro pero mukhang iniwan kami. I don't know how did Ian asked for the sudden switching of partners tho.

"If you say so." I answered which started our duel as we shake each other's hands.

Ewan ko. We agreed na hindi kami maglalaro pero kung panonoorin ng iba ay para lang ganoon din ang nangyayari. Ang atake na ginagawa ng isa sa amin ay ginagawa rin ng isa sa amin pagkatapos. It looks like we're both copying our moves.

He twisted my left arm using his right arms and pulled me for a head butt. But as a proof of what I said, I twisted his left arm too using my right hand and pulled him also for a head butt. Pareho kaming kumalas sa kapit namin sa isa't isa sa lakas ng impact. Geez. This guy has a hard skull.

I took advantage of him being in pain. I kicked him hard in his knees which made him kneel on the grounds. Pero katulad kanina, ginawa niya ang ginawa ko rin. He managed to kick me while he was kneeling but I managed not to fell down.

At dahil ako ang nakatayo, I tried kicking him in his shoulders but he grabbed my right leg and twisted it. I was forced to be down dahil kung hindi ay mababalian ako ng binti. He suddenly went on top of me. Hindi ko alam kung hindi niya napansin but him sitting on my legs to hold it seems an awkward position for everyone who can see us.

Pinilit kong maikawala ang isa kong tuhod mula sa kanyang kinauupuan. I successfully kneed him on his hips which made him leaned. Our faces are too close. Saglit pa siyang seryosong napatingin sa mata ko na ginawa kong pagkakataon. I headbutt him once again. Napasapo siya sa kanyang noo pagkatayo at ganoon din ako. The sound was too loud. Pakiramdam ko nabasag ang bungo ko sa ginawa ko sa kanya.

"And when did the four of you switched your partners without our consent?" Kung ang guro namin ay palipat lipat ng tingin sa aming apat, kaming tatlo naman ay nakalingon sa isang tao lamang.

"Si Damian ang tanungin ninyo." Adrian answered.

"I want to train with my best. But to achieve that, I need someone who's in her best." He walked out from us leaving us dumbfounded.

"Teka teka. Is he saying na hindi ako magaling?" Walang sumagot kay Sofi maliban na lang sa pagkibit balikat ni Adrian.

"Fck! Bakit mo ako hinampas?" Hindi ko alam kung matatawa ako sa lakas ng hampas ni Sofi kay Adrian. The teachers were quiet too watching the two of them.

"Gagong Damian yon. I'm always at my best. Pero gets ko naman na si Devi ang best among the best e. But gago pa rin siya."

Halatang natatawa ang tatlong guro pero tulad ko ay nailing na lang din sila. Si Adrian naman ay parang batang nakatingin ng masama kay Sofi habang papaalis.

"If that would be okay to the both of you. Wala na kaming magagawa. Besides, we saw how the two of you fight. Tanaw namin kayo habang papunta rito."

"Then Adrian will be my training partner?" Sofi asked na parehas naming ikinatango ng mga guro.

I really don't bother to object. Parehas magaling si Adrian at Damian. But Ian is somehow challenging. Kaya niyang tapatan ang lakas ko while Adrian, I can already tell his limits.

One of the teacher clapped his hand to call the attention of the students. They let us decide kung gusto na naming tapusin o magpatuloy pa ng training. Some students wanted to be left behind to continue their sparring with their partners while some decided to spend the remaining minutes to rest. At dahil wala na rin kaming kapareho ni Sofi ay nagpasya na lang kami na pumuntang rooftop at magpahinga roon.

"Your sparring with him amazed me. Both of you don't hold back yourselves. Kaya I'm excited to know who's the strongest between the two of you."

"Honestly Sofi, I saw it as a warm up. Alam kong hindi lang doon ang kayang patunguhan. There's an unexplainable reason beyond that." Sofi's look was so intrigued.

"What I mean if we duel on the tournament. I know it can be a death match between two clans." Sigurado ako. It was just for a tournament. But it was all about pride of the future Lords.

"If you won over him and became an Elite. What will you do?" I faced Sofi who is currently watching the students below. Naging tanong ko rin iyon sa sarili ko.

Elite has privileges. But being a Giovanni has a privilige already. The only thing I was thinking of is to clear something out.

"I want to have a real unity." Sofi immediately looked at me upon hearing it. Alam kong kuha niya ang ibigsabihin ko.

"Impossible. You will proclaim a war between the clans. Isa pa, hindi tayo sigurado kung maski ang clan natin ay may kasalanan sa nangyari." I already thought of that. It will be a risk. A life changing decision for the vision and mission of this university.

"I cannot lead a clan with this issue. I don't know why but I feel like I was obliged."

"You're pressuring yourself Devi. Everyone knows that you'll be an amazing leader. Maybe better with your father pa nga." Tumabi si Sofi sa puwesto ko kung saan tanaw ko ang arko ng unibersidad.

Even though Mafillia University is for the families of Mafiosos. I object it because I see it as a trap. It feels like we're being held to be differentiate. To know who's the target. Magingat ka Sofi. We can be the target for the next elimination.

I'm very sorry for the delayed updates. My fam were in grieve last week. But before that, I was trying to hold onto myself. 2020 was a mess. Let's hope for a better new year. Keep yourselves healthy and in faith.
