That's a idiotic as flat Earth believers, and there's quite a few of them around. But that was the reality an truth, they were real. Everything we were warned about came to light.
Beings that were bounded to the moon and cursed once a month to turn into a beast.
Women and men with the ability to cast spells on people. The ability to cast curses.
Demon of the night, victims of the sun. Monster that lived off the blood of the innocent and the cruel. Holding absolutely no remorse for either parties, just wanting to satisfy their own needs.
Wolves, witches, and vampires were real. And very much could be anyone that you know. The ones closes to you were the most deceiving, that's just the way of the world. It's the world Daphne lived in, and honestly... She never had any judgement to this lifestyle. It was all she ever knew and what she grew up surrounded by. She knew no one to teach her what was kind and what was rude. No one to teach her to be genuine and pure to others, the basic things a parent should teach their child.
That wasn't a luxury should could afford at the time. All of what she knows now what she taught herself, because she only truly had herself at the end of the day. Maybe the end part of that wasn't all that true, but everything else most definitely was. What she knew about love was. what she had for her siblings, they kept her going through her darkest times of her life.
