The Twisted Tale of the Sea Princess

Family Day

Melody and Sophia dreaded Family Day. They would love to spend time with their mother, yes, however, they were reluctant to be anywhere near their father. The twins prepared for the day and planned to arrive after the horrid music performance that would be the school's acapella group performance. Sophia was dressed in a white button-up shirt, a violet blazer that covered her arms, an aqua skirt that came down to her knees as well as a pair of violet heels. Her hair was curled and pulled over her shoulder. Melody was wearing a form-fitting red dress on the other hand, which was a halter neck and also sleeveless. She wore black heels to finish the look and left her hair out for the occasion.

The sisters entered the courtyard as the applause died down. Melody scoffed at the praise they were getting as Sophia headed over to a couple standing a little bit away. Their parents. King Eric and Queen Vanessa of Tirulia. Eric was dressed in his naval uniform, whereas Vanessa was wearing a long violet gown that had long sleeves and exposed her shoulders. The Queen sneered at everyone, but seemed to perk up when her daughters arrived.

"Sophia! Melody!" She greeted warmly. Sophia walked into her mother's open arms, sighing in content at the warmth of her embrace.

"Mother." Sophia sighed happily. She moved so that Melody could be greeted.

"We missed you." The black-haired princess admitted as she stepped away.

"We missed you too!" A different voice wailed, and two arms wrapped around Melody and Sophia's shoulders and yanked them into a tight embrace. Eric cooed and kissed his daughters cheeks. "You've grown so much since last time!"

"Dad! Dad let us go!" Melody complained, pushing her father way. Eric sulked as he shuffled away from his daughters. Sophia adjusted her jacket.

"I'm sure you've heard of the new students at school?" Sophia asked her mother. Vanessa's eyes widened.

"Yes, I have." The Queen replied. Eric looked confused, unable to understand what his family was saying.

"We've befriended them, gained their trust. Soon, they'll take Fairy Godmother's Wand, and Maleficent plans to rule the world with it."

"Which she won't do." Melody added. "We plan to take the wand for ourselves."

"And then, your dream of conquering the world will finally become reality." Sophia said. Vanessa grinned, but their revelry was cut short when a voice echoed through the courtyard.

"YOU!" A voice shouted. Melody and Sophia exchanged looks when they heard Queen Leah's voice. That could only mean one thing, she spotted Mal. The two, wanting to watch the drama unfold, hurried to the commotion. Mal had shrunk away from Queen Leah, who didn't look happy. "How are you here?" Queen Leah wondered, "And how have you stayed so young?"

"Queen Leah, it's ok." Ben assured, putting an arm around Mal's shoulder. "Maleficent is still on the Isle, this is her daughter Mal. "Don't you remember, my proclamation to give the new generation a chance?"

"A chance to what Ben? Destroy us?" Queen Leah accused. She turned to the Fairy Godmother behind her. "You remember, do you not? The poison apples and the spells." She turned back to Mal, "The spells. My daughter was raised by fairies, because of your mother's curse. So her first words, her first steps. I. Missed. It All!" Queen Leah turned to Fairy Godmother who was behind her. "You musnt trust them."

"I'm so sorry-" Mal started, reaching out to Queen Leah but Chad stepped in the way,

"Go away! Stay away from her." Chad said, holding his hand up. Mal jumped back slightly.

"Don't do this Chad." Ben warned.

"What?" Chad gasped, "They were raised by their parents, Ben. What do you think Villains teach their kids huh? Kindness? Fair play? No way." Chad shoved his finger at Mal. "You stole another girl's boyfriend." He accused.

"Hey, Hey!" Ben stood in front of Mal to protect her.

"You enjoy hurting people." He pointed at Jay, "And you." Chad sneered at Evie, "Don't think your nothing more than a gold digger, and a cheat. And let's not forget their new best friends!" Chad gestured wildly at Melody and Sophia. "You've corrupted two of the Princesses of this land into being your friends!"

"Mirror, Mirror in my hand, who's the biggest jerk in the land!" Evie said and shoved the mirror in Chad's face,

"What? No!" He swatted Evie's hand away a bit too hard, which made her stumble. Jay then took matters into his own hands by grabbing the front of Chad's jacket. Evie pulled something out of her bag and sprayed it in Chad's face. I took a step back in shock. Sophia and Melody scowled as Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos fled the scene.

"They're weak." Queen Vanessa sneered. "Running from confrontation. Their parents faced it head-on!"

"We know Mother." Melody muttered.

"They're destined to fail." Sophia added. "But...through their suffering...comes our victory."
