Mark: 7 years old
Donghyuck: 6 years old

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

It was Christmas but all Donghyuck was doing is staring out of the window and admiring the falling snow.

"What are you doing?" Mark crept up behind his best friend and asked.

"I'm watching the snow!" Donghyuck replies, showing the older a toothy grin.

"What's so fun about that? It's all going to melt anyways."

Donghyuck pouted at Mark's statement. "This is why you're boring."

Mark gasped and put a hand over his chest as if he was shot in the heart.

"I'm not boring!"

"Yes, you are!"

"No, I'm not!"

"Yes, you are!"

"No, I'm not!"

"Yes, you are!"

"No, I'm not!"

"YES, YOU ARE!"

"Fine- Maybe I am boring..."

Donghyuck smirked in victory.

"But since you're my best friend, you're also boring!"

Donghyuck's mouth went open and he tried to retort but nothing came out.

"Look! The puddle that we jumped on yesterday is frozen!"

Donghyuck looked at what Mark was pointing at and he saw a frozen puddle on the road.

"The duckies are going to cross over it!"

The two watched as a family of ducks walk over the frozen puddle.

"Woah- they didn't fall over! Aren't puddles slippery?" Donghyuck asked the older.

"I guess the ducks slid over the ice. I think you'll have a lesser chance of falling if you slide."

Donghyuck nodded at Mark's explanation and continued to watch the ducks.

"DONGHYUCK! MARK! THERE'S HOT CHOCO AND COOKIES IN THE KITCHEN!"

The two best friends perked up when they heard what Mark's mom said.

"Race you there."

"You're on!"
