Chapter 3

Mark: 14 years old
Donghyuck: 13 years old

Mark was reading a book as he waits for his best friend to finish his ice skating lessons this snowy Christmas day.

Ever since that time when Mark told Donghyuck to slide over the ice, the latter has taken and interest in ice skating and has been taking lessons.

"Hyung!" Mark looked away from his book and saw Donghyuck smiling at him.

"Why don't you try skating?" Donghyuck asked.

Mark, however, shook his head. "Please~ You told me that you'll try it next time!"

Mark giggled a bit at what Donghyuck said. "Hyuckie, that was years ago..."

Donghyuck pouted. "And? Come on, hyung! Don't be a killjoy!"

Mark sighed and closed his book with a loud thump. "Fine- but you better not let me fall!"

Donghyuck giggled and nodded happily.

"Wear these skates and I'll help you!"

Mark wore the skates and struggled to stand once they're on.

"Left and right... Left and right..."

Donghyuck guided Mark as he slowly but surely walked over to the rink with his skates.

"Now, remember how I first slid on ice?"

Mark gave a deadpan look at Donghyuck. "That was years ago, YEARS!"

Donghyuck huffed. "And? You remember right?"

Mark nodded. "So, you slide one foot first."

Mark slid the right.

"Then you slide the other one."

Mark did as the younger instructed.

"Now.... Slide the right, slide the left..."

Mark tried to copy what his best friend said but ended up falling out of balance and landing on his butt.

"You said you'll not let me fall!"

"Not my fault you're bad at this."
