That Christmas when Mark was 14 years old was the last time he tried ice skating. No matter how much times Donghyuck tried to persuade the older, the answer was always no.
"Hyung~ please~" Donghyuck tried to ask Mark to ice skate with him again.
"No means no, Haechan." Mark answered back.
"But, IT'S CHRISTMAS! I want to have fun with you~"
Mark tried to hide his squeal from the younger so he agreed to make him stop pouting.
"This time, I'm going to help you for real."
When they arrived at the ice skaing rink, Donghyuck immediately wore his own skates.
"I'll just rent some skates from the front, ok?" Mark told Donghyuck.
Donghyuck nodded and waited for the older.
"Ok, so what you want to do is bend your knees a little."
Mark did as he was told and balanced himself.
"Great! Now, carefully slide one of your feet forward."
Mark followed the instructions, almost falling but Donghyuck was able to balance him.
"Not so much! Ok, now try moving the other foot."
Mark moved his other foot and he smiled when he felt Donghyuck's grip on him got tighter.
"Careful! You almost fell!" Donghyuck scolded.
"Now, try doing what I just told you slowly."
Mark inhaled and exhaled deeply.
He bent his knees slightly, slid his right foot forward then he slid his left foot forward.
"There you go!" Donghyuck cheered his best friend on.
Mark smiled and continued to repeat those steps over and over again until he go the hang of it.
"I-I'm skating!"
"Now, I'm gonna teach you how to stop."
