A cold evening came by, making everything freeze in it's place. It was that time of the year when people got lazy and sad and the cold nights felt more lonely.
Jang eunseong entered her house, feeling immediately warmer. She let out a sigh, and got deeper into the warmth of her house. She slowly, took off her jacket and lazily took her shoes off her feet. She finally entered the living room and droped on the couch. It was a tiring day, and all she wanted was to have some rest. She wrapped the blanket around herself until she became invisible under that blanket.
Jang eunseong was living on her own, and she felt terrible being alone. She loved being around friends, and around family, she loved attention from her loved once. But when she was alone, it just didn't feel right. She wanted someone to be around, someone to calm her down, when she couldn't sleep, or when she would wake up from a nightmare. Someone. There was that someone.
"Another cold day, I wish summer was here."- she let out another long sigh, staring at the ceiling. Summer always felt so cheerful, and warm. She loved summer.
She took out her phone and texted the person, who never failed to make her smile. Mori koyuki. Someone who always seemed to be by her side, always make her warm, she was a little sunshine, that made her life so bright.
It was late and eunseong relized that, only after she sent the text, but yuki replied and she smiled widely, probably for the first time that day. They began texting each other, with more and more texts. Until someone knocked at the door. Eunseong lazily got up into the cold again to ask who it was,
"who is it?" - she asked,
"Guess it" - she heard the voice that she cherished a lot. She didn't think twice and opened the door.
"Yuki!! What are you doing here?" - Eunseong asked with a little shock in her voice.
"I just wanted to see you" - Yuki said and smiled with the cutest smile. Eunseongs heart melted,and she could only lead Yuki inside the house, to get her warm.
"It's late, and cold. You should've stayed home"- eunseong said and helped yuki get her jacket off. Yuki softly smiled again, and hugged eunseong, the reason why she came was simple. She came to be next to her and comfort her.
And that hug. There something special about it, a hug that would make you forget about all the bad things. A hug that felt warmer that anything in this world. A hug that made her feel, so many things and so many emotions. Eunseong hugged her tighter, and let out another tired sigh. Yuki patted her on her back, after the hug was over Yuki noticed the opened window.
"Unnie!! I told you to close the windows, you'll get cold!" - Yuki said and hurried to close the window, where the cold, freezing wind was coming from. Eunseong sheepishly smiled, at how cute and caring Yuki was.
"Let's make hot chocolate, and watch something!" - Yuki suggested, and eunseong agreed. They went to the kitchen to make the hot drink. Yuki told eunseong to sit, while she made two cups of hot chocolate, and eunseong sat and watched the little soft ball move around the kitchen. It was amusing, totally amusing, how the girl, who was younger than her acted all big and cool. Soon the delicious smell filled the air and it made eunseong come back to earth from her thoughts, and she got excited to finally take a sip.
"Thank you" - she smiled as she took the mug into her cold hands. Their hands brushed, and Yuki felt how cold her hands were.
"nonono, this won't do!! I should keep you warm!!"- She took the mug away, and took eunseong by her hand into her room. Eunseong didn't mind of Yuki dragging her into the room. She pointed for eunseong to get into the warm bed, and hide herself under the blanket. There was a TV in her room, so she got under the blanket, and began switching channels to find something to watch. She stopped at a Christmas movie, and waited for Yuki to come back from kitchen.
"Tadaaa, your hot chocolate ma'am" -Yuki acted silly and eunseong laughed at her also making some silly moves. Finally the mug ended up in her hands once again, eunseong felt hands getting warmer, and took a sip.
"That's so yummy!!" - she let out pleasure sounds, and drank some more. Yuki made a proud-of-herself-face, and got under the blanket. They weren't really focused on the movie, who needed a movie when they could just talk to each other and laugh.
The hot chocolate finished quickly, and the movie ended with a cute happy ending. Eunseong had an idea so she put on some of her favorite songs, and began singing along. Yuki laughed and took out her phone to record a video of her singing. Then their song came up, that both loved, and Yuki put the phone away and began singing.
Yeah, probably the neighbors were hating them at that moment, but they had so much fun so who cared. Eunseong gained some strength after the warm evening they were having. She got up after she put a song, was it a cute one? Nope that was a rock song. She began jumping, her hair a mess. She imitated a guitar and made a cool face, Yuki couldn't hold herself anymore and jumped up on the bed and began also rocking and enjoying herself. Eunseong joined her on the bed and the ended up jumping like insane, playing on imaginary guitars, piano, and even drums. Their hair flying here and there, and when they got totally exhausted, they fell on the bed breathing heavily and laughing. Yuki took a pillow and hit eunseong lightly, and eunseong didn't wait to grab the pillow and also hit Yuki.
"Fine, fine, gosh stop" - Yuki said between the laughs, and this time the calmed and took some minutes to breathe.
"I'll bring us some water" - eunseong got up and walked towards the kitchen, and in her way fixing her really messy hair. She poured the water, and brought the cup to Yuki.
Yuki smiled and took the cup, and drank some water. "thanks" - Yuki said.
They finally layed under the blanket and it was getting really late. Yuki made eunseong feel comfortable, covered her with the blanket and looked at her.
"Let's sleep" -She softly spoke and also got comfortable next to her. She patted eunseong on her head, eunseong nodded and closed her eyes. With every pat, eunseong was closer to her dream land.
Yuki kept looking at eunseong, scanning her beautiful features, and patting her head with a smile.
"Goodnight little fox" - eunseong muttered, a little smile showing on her face. Her eyes still closed.
"Goodnight, Lil shark! Please sleep well, I will protect you from all the bad dreams today, and always. So you have to sleep well! " - Yuki said, in a serious, and at the same time in a caring way.
Yuki meant it. Whenever eunseong would need her she would be there. So that she won't feel lonely, she could stay all night at the same position and won't move, it didn't matter. All that mattered was eunseong sleeping well and tight without any nightmares. Yuki was there no matter what, to help her out with whatever was bothering her. No bad dream could make it through Yuki.
As the days got colder, she thought about eunseong more, all her thoughts ended up being about her. It was something that couldn't be fixed. She felt that urge to protect her little shark.
She knew that eunseong always felt bad whenever the season changed, especially in winter. She would become so upset, down, and so stressed that she couldn't sleep. It happened every year, and Yuki was there, to rise her mood a little up. She would do everything, and so she did. When she looked at eunseongs laugh, it also made her smile. She was simply happy to be around, and be the one eunseong could rely on. That made her want to stay by her side, and push all the worries and anxiety away.
"I'll visit your dream, and I'll make sure that no nightmare can worry you!!" - Yuki would say when she couldn't be with eunseong. Which made eunseong feel protected even if Yuki wasn't around.
Yuki glanced at eunseong, she was asleep, and Yuki smiled as she looked at the peaceful girl, sleeping. She was precious, and Yuki wanted to remember this warmth in her heart, and save it for ever. Her eyes became heavy. Slowly blinking as she looked at eunseong, until she fell asleep. To travel to her little sharks dream and fight the bad guys that would want to hurt her. She would catch them all, until eunseong will be sound asleep.
When the morning will come, they will both be there, no matter what.
